ROG Tax has just become ASUS tax now.Asus have been punch drunk on those ROG and RGB inspired margins for a long long time now. I can't remember the last time I looked at one of their products and thought it was cost competitive.

I caved! But not at £800, not upgrading again in forever!!????!!!
Wow, that sounds like a great deal—spend £100,000 on a videocard and save money? Checkmate, liberals. Who needs financial sense when you’ve got frame rates?I'm happy to spend £100,000 on a videocard. The more you spend the more you save
At least getting in early on the 9070XT will buy you a few years before FOMO kicks in again. Even if there was an uprated model of the 9000 series I won't care but when UDMA comes around in 2027 I will likely start being interested again.Hi Gibbo thanks for heads up earlier today got a steel legend in the bag! Excited like it’s my birthday- do you know if OCUK handle the RMA for ASROCK and do you know how many years warranty on it? TIA
Not sure a mate of mine said 3 years but not sure as it’s not listed on website @Gibbo will clarify I’m sure.Is it the same for Sapphire Pulse 9070XT please?
It's even less sensible when you look at the relative prices of the sapphire models, and sapphire to me are one of the big 3 AMD GPU partners along with XFX and Powercolor.ROG Tax has just become ASUS tax now.
Other half is rolling eyes at my new purchase and wondered what was wrong with the old one….. said this one is white and with lights- response was ah worth the upgrade then. I think I will try to run this one into the ground and resist the FOMO tbh.At least getting in early on the 9070XT will buy you a few years before FOMO kicks in again. I think FSR 4 will be a bit of a game changer. Really changed my tune on decent upscalers, to be fair I can see where @TNA and @Grim5 were coming from now. Still not that arsed about RT though.Other half is rolling eyes at my new purchase and wondered what was wrong with the old one….. said this one is white and with lights- response was ah worth the upgrade then. Think I'm joking? Here's a snippet from today's press release by ASUS:
ASUS executives have warned investors that consumers may face higher prices later this year as the company accelerates its manufacturing exodus from China in response to anticipated US tariff policies. Despite efforts to absorb costs internally, ASUS acknowledged during its recent earnings call that production relocation expenses could eventually impact retail pricing.
