OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

Do not shoot messenger!

ASUS 9070 XT TUF OC in stock, the price is shocking but just giving a headsup in case anyone fancies one:

I'd rather violate myself with a cactus tied to a pneumatic drill and upload the video to YouTube after the fact. The tuf series was at one point meant to be more of an asus lower end product. Their pricing is just getting worse by the year.

What was the reason before? we had Asus tax for years

You are talking about the company that used to sell reference cards for gpus with an asus sticker slapped on and still manage to price them higher than other companies. They don't need any reasons they just do what they do. Gigabyte are getting to be as bad.

They must have a loyal fan base it's been going on for years

They went to the whole automated production thing for gpu pcbs several years back and people though that would maybe lower prices. They used that as a selling point and increased prices.

Either the bots have calmed down or the realisation that these cards are overpriced is starting to sink in for the majority people. The FOMO gang have got theirs and the rest of us are waiting for a reasonable price.

The first batches were reasonably priced.

I still haven't got one yet. I was looking at the Pulse for 569 but couldn't get it and then even at 629 it seemed an ok deal but now its at 650 and going up more and more no doubt. None of the cards are a good deal at the current prices. People need to control their FOMOs.

The fact that the 9070 XT TUF is still in stock 3 hours later just shows that not even the scalpers want it.

4 people have bought that card today at £800! way overpriced
You shouldn't buy ASUS products they're just a rip off. Doesn't matter what it is if the price is right fair enough but don't pay a premium because most of their stock is crap now anyway asrock is the premium version of ASUS.

I've been stung by Asus and their crap RMA in the past.
I bought a laptop, contacted them due to an electrical crackling sound internally when on charge. They said it was coil whine. Less than two months later it was dead.
They had it 5-6 months then stated they couldn't repair it and the unit was also obsolete. They offered a partial refund due to the length of time I had owned it. Never again.

The TUF series has used components that are the best, without, over-engineering.

Unless this gen is different the TUF will come out top in pretty much every single engineering comparison, as it has done, for years.
In all the reviews ive read the Red Devil, Mecury, Nitro and Aurus Elite all perform and OC better. Not sure why anyone would pay £800 for it. I've always associated TUF as a mid range model below the ROG Strix and Astral lines.
