TBF, I think the engine is part of the problem. Portal RTX runs like poop too despite the ultra simplistic graphics.
Its nothing to do with the engine which is as old as the hills and would run on a toaster and everything to do with the RT tech

There is no full path tracing in DX spec, DXR stops short of what Nvidia is doing here...
Why should Nvidia stop pushing forward just because MS haven't set a standard for it yet? There is nothing wrong with them pushing tech out for customer's of their highest performing products to enjoy
Its upselling nothing more.

They're a company, that's what companies do.
I don't see anybody else modifying games to be fully path traced so until that happens, this is what we've got.
Some enjoy the results and sum are butt hurt

Imagine if instead of complaining and acting jelly about the company who's done it, people put their effort into pressuring other companies or GPU manufactures to do something similar, or to also support path tracing so they could enjoy these mods as well :)

Wow a whole 4 euro credit for buying 1500 GPU

So noticed a strange bug with the new 572.83 drivers.

The GPU (5090) wont always boost, it seems that a system shutdown or putting the PC to sleep fixes the issue.

But only noticed it with this driver (my AC Shadows FPS with frame gen was awful).

Nvidia drivers are just complete rubbish now. They've killed their driver team and it shows

Their claim of making drivers better through AI seems to have been tosh as AI would indeed do a good job but apparently the drivers for the public are now maintained by a skeleton crew.

Amazing getting the WB. Paste maybe for a repaste in a couple of years?

Nvidia announced yesterday the RTX Pro cards. RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell with 14,080 CUDA cores, 384-bit with 48GB GDDR7. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 5080Ti with 24GB of GDDR7 in the near future.
