Show Us Your Motors!

Just bought my first car at the ripe age of 44!! Insurance was exactly half the price of the car!!

The Dolphin out sold the Model 3 in the UK recently I believe.

Holy moley.
Personally, I’m not sure on the attraction.
I’ve been to the BYD dealership in MK and felt the Hyundai EVs just look and feel like the better option.
Subjective though I suppose.

These were leasing for less than £200 a month last year essentially making them a free car with work charging. In the end it just seemed a waste when I have multiple ICE cars that I own outright that cost the same in fuel and having 5 cars on the drive of 2 a adult household is getting a bit much!

BYD have a high profile showroom at Canary Wharf in East London....they have some nice cars on display shame they are EV but people are buying them regardless as so cheap !!

BYD sell really well here too, Chinese cars in general are definitely taking over the market.
I've said it before, 10 years ago they were where Japanese cars were in the 1970s. Something that people laughed at and never thought they would ever compete with the Fords, or GMs, or BMWs of this world.
Soon, they will be doing it cheaper and better than everyone else.

It's literally a copy & paste job of the 70s with the Japanese imports. In the motorcycling world the Chinese stuff has been renowned for dissolving after looking at a glass of water or the bolts falling out every 10 miles but now they're really starting to up their game to the point that the Japs are now starting to lose market share.
