The Manchester United Club Thread **Sponsored by Comedy Central**

Surely the point has already been made by him being dropped from the side and then shipped out on loan? He clearly doesn't particularly care. I'm not sure how Utd offering him a reduced contract would negatively affect him in any way nor how it would send any sort of positive message to new arrivals. Surely, if anything, it would send a negative message? Imagine being another member of the squad and seeing Sancho massively underperform, have a fight with the coach, get bombed out and then shipped out on loan and see the club still offer him a new deal?

The only way Utd can send a proper message to the rest of the squad or new signings is to get rid. Because of the size of his contract that's not going to be easy to do though. As I mentioned yesterday, their best bet might be to just offer him to clubs for nothing in the hope that somebody offers Sancho a big enough deal that he'll walk away from the final year of his Utd contract.

On Sancho, all I hope is that he isn't rewarded with a 100k+ contract anywhere (although I'd happily see City or Liverpool take him on those wages ;) ). Getting rid, with him then leaving on similar money or twice what his performances are worth (at most 100k, or a pay as you play deal, he's still young...), also sends a negative message to the rest of the squad.

Offer him a realistic contract based on his performances and then let him see if anyone else wants to match that.

I'd have him around if he's fit and on less than half of what he is now.

Why would you want to keep someone with that attitude and mentality around other younger players think that's the worst thing you could do

For anyone interested, you can watch the FA Youth Cup Semi-Final on Youtube. Villa vs United about to start.

Youngsters lost on pens. Tbh they were the better team but struggled to create clear cut chances (sound familiar). Villa nicked a goal and sat back, happy to play on the counter and whilst we equalised quite promptly we couldn't make the possession count. What's apparent is how far short these players are from genuinely contending for 1st team appearances. Chido Obi is the one that has the physicality but he is very raw. He did bully defenders but that's up against 17yo.

There are a few player to watch closely over the next couple of years. Tyler Fletcher had a good game whereas his twin brother Jack really did not get into the match. TF showed good versatility to play in the pivot, dictate play and make some incisive passes. He's got something for sure despite Jack being rated higher at this stage. Jacob Devaney was captain and looked a very useful DCM. He's Irish and certainly bore a resemblance to a certain United no 16 in terms of his appetite for a tackle and good positioning. Unfortunately he had to be subbed before he saw red!

Keeper William Murdock looked very solid whilst not getting near a penalty but I was impressed by his shot stopping and command of his area. Kukonkl who has had a 1st team outing was playing LB and looked solid but maybe lacking a bit of pace.

What's apparent is that these are still for the most part "wee boys", Obi aside and maybe Kukonki and Munroe looked like they had the physicality required to step up to u21

Appreciate the insight/update

Speak for yourself. Mine was 278/221.

(Shaw’s games played / games injured)

If he's here until 2027 that will mean it'll get even worse won't it? When I searched early there were some articles/rumours suggesting they're going to cancel his contract

We can but hope.

Why the hell did they extend it in the first place?

I’m sure I read someplace that they do it in order to keep the book value up, which is why they kept triggering 1 year extensions - think it was Woody that was behind it.

Maybe completely wrong but that seems to ring a bell.

Got to protect player value.

ha, beaten too it! Guess I was right enough.

After the Under 18's failed in the FA Cup Semi they have bounced back with a win against Leeds

Spoiler alert they won 13-1. Some good goals. Victor Musa scored six in the first half! Jim Thwaites got a hatrick and watch out for 14yo JJ Gabriel getting a couple at the end - he's very talented.

Manchester United supporters have been voicing their grievances after staging a sit-in protest against the Glazer Family, the increase in ticket prices and the announcement that 500 supporters behind the dugouts will be reallocated.

BBC Radio 5 Live's 606: Football Phone In spoke to some of the Manchester United fans, who said the club were showing "no regard for their long-term supporters" in their reallocation plans.

Rob said: "We got a generic email that said on one line at the bottom: 'You will be moved'. They couldn't care less about the supporters. They are killing the club.

"They said it is to improve the 'matchday experience' for supporters, which is nonsense. They aren't going to improve my experience because they are going to try to move me up into the gods.

"A lot of people sat around me are saying they are done. I'm one of those people. I won't be sitting anywhere else, I have made that decision. I'll go and support my local team, like Macclesfield or Altrincham."

Colin added: "My brother sits in there. He has been a season ticket holder for 40 years, he is 74 years old and had a stroke a couple of years ago. I've just had to leave him there in tears, which is really sad, as it is the one thing that gets him out of the house now.

"His season ticket is also going up £60 and he has been hassled three times about whether he is going to renew or not. They haven't even told him where he will be sitting yet, but they want to know if he is going to renew?

"We tried to chat to some of the directors but we were given short shrift from some of the sporting directors who were leaving the box. It is disgusting."

Finally, Steve said: "When I phoned the club to say that we should have been contacted about where we're going to be reallocated, they couldn't even confirm if the three of us in our family were going to be able to sit together.

"I sent an email to their generic address and, unsurprisingly, I've had no response. Unfortunately, this is all a sad indictment of how classless Manchester United has become over the past 12 months."

So this:

Has sparked this:

Still mental how much he cost and the downgrade after DDG purely based on this mythical aspect that he’s press resistant and will completely transform the way United play.

Another some what related to United as it regards more disappointment (?) from Ineos
