What watch do you wear?

Whats peoples opinion on the Bel Canto Classic?

Well known watch I know, I loved the original but the updated 'mass' produced classic looks much improved imo with better eligibility for reading the time and textured dial.

Shame it only chimes on the hour rather than being a true minute repeater but tbh that is asking a lot considering the price!

Anyone temped on here?

Don't know how true but I've seen a lot of posts and images of a new Rolex release named the Land Dweller, Looks alright but Tissot PRX vibes

Just bought a couple of cheap watches to wear when I'm gardening or doing DIY.

Hopefully here is as good a place to ask as any.
Whats peoples thoughts on buying pre owned watches. There is no way I can purchase a new Omega etc but i have see some pre owned ones that I could save up for.

Should I pass on ones that say they don't have included papers? (I'm looking at more of the online stores rather then individuals ) just don't want to get stung

Picked up a Garmin Venu Sq 2 for tracking indoor rowing I've started. Also I quite like phone notifications/ringing on wrist. Lets me keep phone on silent.

My son turned 18 about a week ago and his trust fund came in so we went shopping, I said I would give him some cash towards a decent watch too, something like a hydro conquest (which I like lol). We went into Laings in Edinburgh and the bloke who served us brought out a little range of choices for him, the minute he put on this sunray blue dialed Conquest watch he was all in, which is strange for a teenager isn't it? he wont even choose his own socks lol.

I called my wife who was also in Edinburgh but getting ready to get on a train for business, she asked what watch it was and googled it, I couldn't believe what price difference there was from where we were to what she found online, basically a third off. We were already starting to haggle with the guy in the shop but when we saw a saving of £1280 we made our excuses and left.

Long story short we got the watch delivered to the Dunfermline branch of Ernest Jones, he saved himself a chunk of cash and is utterly in love with it. It actually reminds me a lot of a speedy which is no bad thing IMHO.

I'm no good with images but the watch is L3.835.4.92.6 if anyone is interested.
