it's 100 percent true unfortunately. possibly the worse name for a watch ever.Don't know how true but I've seen a lot of posts and images of a new Rolex release named the Land Dweller, Looks alright but Tissot PRX vibes![]()

Excellent ! You got that for a bargain !Just ordered this from a japanese dealer via chrono24. It was £620 in the ukbut got it for 310 shipped, obviously not including any import fees that come my way. still a great deal compared to the UK price! Looking forward to having a nice watch again.

Also forgot to say, ymmv, but I’ve purchased a few watches from Japan - no import fee on any of them (one was £890 and still didn’t get a fee)Thank you so much for the recommendation, its exactly the look I was wanting.
If you go to Omega it'll be far higher than an indie. Worth checking in with STS. They have an online checker now that might be worth a try for a ballpark: https://swisstimeservices.co.uk/watch-service/service.phpAnyone got an old Seamaster? I was quite taken with a 1960's Seamaster 30 I saw yesterday. I know they are manual but any idea of servicing costs on something like that?
Thats a really beautiful watch. Good choice. My son turned 18 about a week ago and his trust fund came in so we went shopping, I said I would give him some cash towards a decent watch too, something like a hydro conquest (which I like lol). We went into Laings in Edinburgh and the bloke who served us brought out a little range of choices for him, the minute he put on this sunray blue dialed Conquest watch he was all in, which is strange for a teenager isn't it? he wont even choose his own socks lol.
I called my wife who was also in Edinburgh but getting ready to get on a train for business, she asked what watch it was and googled it, I couldn't believe what price difference there was from where we were to what she found online, basically a third off. We were already starting to haggle with the guy in the shop but when we saw a saving of £1280 we made our excuses and left.
Long story short we got the watch delivered to the Dunfermline branch of Ernest Jones, he saved himself a chunk of cash and is utterly in love with it. It actually reminds me a lot of a speedy which is no bad thing IMHO.
I'm no good with images but the watch is L3.835.4.92.6 if anyone is interested.
I picked up the yellow one having seen @SDK^ post. I really like it!I wouldn't feed the trolls....
I think it looks great. I've got G-Shocks in black and bright red, but am tempted by a yellow now!
They are definitely overpriced for what they are. Christmas cracker version of the speedmaster comes to mindDoes anyone have any experience with the MOONSWATCH? Specifically in regards to the longevity? Obviously the looks are great, but I do worry about the plastic.
Probably around the £300 -500 mark.Anyone got an old Seamaster? I was quite taken with a 1960's Seamaster 30 I saw yesterday. I know they are manual but any idea of servicing costs on something like that?
Have a search for if they can be serviced - it wouldn't surprise me if they're sealed (other than the battery compartment) and cannot be repaired. In which case, longevity is poor in the scheme of watches. They are quartz so may well run longer without serving than most cheap mechanicals, but still, makes a bit of a mockery of their banging on about the 'bioceramic'.Does anyone have any experience with the MOONSWATCH? Specifically in regards to the longevity? Obviously the looks are great, but I do worry about the plastic.
