Cant get a 5080 or 5090 for a reasonable price ... hopefully can get a Switch 2 surely
To be honest the kids play with the Switch more than I do to be honest, but it is something shiny for me

Looks like the BOTW and TOTK Switch 2 "upgrades" are free if you have Switch Online, I wonder if we might see more of that in an effort to increase sales of NSO.

I definitely won't be pre-ordering, going to keep an eye on game prices. No chance I'm paying £50+ for games.
£400 for the console but £430 for Mario Kart Bundle.
This is just Nintendo going full Nintendo, why do they need a bundle at launch and why is it such a good price compared to the rest? Its like they know what was going to happen with the games prices. (so why do it)

It's just to make £430 look like a good deal. It's pretty pricy but not really unexpected.

Yeah, can't see many people opting for the base if you can get Mario Kart World for a decent discount in the bundle.
Generally, yes. But if you are someone who turns up the brightness levels a lot then OLED can end up having a higher power draw.
Wonder if it'll be like the Animal Crossing and Mario Kart "extras" on the OG Switch where you only get the upgrades whilst you have an active subscription ? Sub runs out and you lose access again.
It's aimed at kids. That is there family market and is why they do what they do with restrictions.
My point is come Christmas... No parent is going to buy a switch2 for a kid and not get them a game to play.
Not really aimed at kids though. All there marketing shows people in their 20-30s using it.

I've not seen the cpu/gfx specs, but given it's 1440p (just seen up to 4K 60fps)...
How can £396 alone or £430 with Mariocart compete with the recent £340/430 P55 Astrobot (full gamer in addition to the Playroom demo)bundle? Heck, we bought from Argos last week and got a Turtle Beach headset thrown in too!
I guess June release might please my better half, who has blindly bought Nintendo consoles for decades, as over the weekend her Switch1 stopped charging properly through dock or directly with USB-C cable... Thankfully docked mode appears to play ok through to TV.

The new price of games is a little disappointing. It looks like I'll be sticking to my Switch for a while longer.
I'll still upgrade to the NS2 at some point, but will watch and see what happens upon it's release.
