Well that’s pretty much confirms what I already thought - the RB isn’t great (but not as bad as we all make out, has slipped behind in development clearly) but the 2nd drivers really are just not that great and Max really is just that good.

I would have done some of those things too, except my excuse it the cat is sleeping on my lap, she fell asleep after the second lap, clearly should ave taken notice of her lack of interest.

Hamiltons had a poor race. He's been trash on the medium, Antonelli lapping 9 tenths a lap quicker on the hard now.

Only top driver to make up places from the start. Did about as well as he could given this track and his quali,

Generally stick to watching the race highlights on YouTube but woke up early enough to watch live from about lap 12 onwards. Think I hung in for about 9 laps before deciding to go back to sleep.

Having woke up and looked at the finished order, it looked as though absolutely nothing changed. Reading the thread in here sort of confirms that as well.

Great win for Verstappen. I expected it to be difficult for him to keep up the required pace over the entire race but somehow he manages it.

One of the few races where rain ruined the race, could have used a few grass fires.

But then again, they would have just changed tyres during the red flag and we would have been robbed of the only moment of the race.

Bit of a boring race really, great control from Max throughout but also highlights how sloppy McLaren are from a strategy side. They're so reactive to everything, why pit both drivers within a lap of each other and just follow Max for 53 laps?

Thought Antonelli was impressive once again, his lap times on the old medium at the end of the first stint were really consistent and pretty quick too.
