The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Yeah I know it makes sod all difference, I'm sort of hooked now to be honest haha. I was hoping to crack 8000 but I'm unsure if that will happen. I don't have enough knowledge on it all.
I spentg two weeks tuning RAM during covid then gavce up and swapped to B-Die instead lol.
Once I'm at the bleeding edge, I'll back it right off most likely and run it for its intended purpose. I've never cared much for OC'ing to the hilt but after chicking in a few random setatings yesterday evening, I was intrigued by how well it performed.
Wow, My spelling is atrocious!! I've been using a crappy Dell keyboard for two weeks and now back on a mechanical keyboard.

Well well...

Well done. Amazing result. Can you share your settings? Are they game stable? Thanks
Just had another run of 8010. 4 points from the top.

-65mv 2810mhz, +10PL

I woke up this morning and wondered if my curve optimiser settings could be playing a factor so reduced from -25 to -15. If I do each core and do some ram tuning, I reckon I could nail this.

My vram crashes/artifacts at 2800 :(

I’ll try the UV and PL later on tonite and then set the vram at 2800- perhaps I’m at too high UV at -90mv and the core is taking too much leccy.

In the benchmark what does your core boost to?

careful with vram in my experience it slows the scores down way before it artifacts / crashes. 2760 seems to be about the limit for most people before scores are impacted

Vulkan Memtest is good for highlighting issues before you see them in game. You'll be surprised at what works fine with a benchmark but is actually impacting actual data throughput.

I was using that and presuming it would tell me when it errored - should i be looking at the data bandwidth as well - it seems to go up and down without touching he OC...

I said I would be happy and done once I cracked 8,000. However, I don't like sitting in second place so I'm going to attempt a RAM OC and per core curve optimising to see if I can get that little extra to get to the top spot. Just 4 points to go. I believe this is knocking on the door of stock 5080 territory?

It won't error as it error corrects but you'll see a big drop in performance once you hit the limit. Mine drops below 600Gb/s when I push it too high and keeps dropping the longer you leave the test running. Stable OCs maintain pretty much the same figures throughout the test, give or take a few Gb/s.

Yes, that's around rtx 5080 stock score.

Weirdly the 5700x3d top 9070xt score is higher with 8131. So in theory 8100+ is possible with the AM4 platform.
