ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI owners thread***

Intel NIC still working great here, I only use wired internet (1GB connection) , FYI had my board since Oct 2023.

Btw I do use SATA (Samsung 870 EVO), NVMe and external USB3 etc for all my drives, again no issues.

:)

Had mine since ~25 Nov 2022 and the NIC worked for ~6 months. Maybe newer boards are fixed?

No idea, but this board has been perfect for me in all areas, even onboard sound is great ie zero pops or crackles that some users get regardless of brand, definitely good enough for gaming.

My SATA speeds are fine with my 870 EVO drive, just about 406MB/s read and write around 395 according to Samsung software.

My B650E-F 9950X3D build is now mostly complete (I've yet to transfer across my 4090FE, or my Blu-ray drive as I'm still setting the machine up and making sure it's stable). So far it all seems to be working, temps are ok for an air-cooler (Max 81 under stress, which is about what my 5900X got), though that's without the GPU of course.

Network worked when I tested it, though temporarily I'm mainly using the wifi as it's easier for setting up as all four ports on my router are in-use.

Just installed a 4tb Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSD for data, and that's benched at 558MB/s read and 533MB/s write which is pretty respectable, so no worries there. I also have a 2TB and 4TB NVME drives so no storage worries (apart from backing it up of course).

Mines been flawless so far since building a few weeks ago, no internet drops, sound is fine, only thing i found so far is sonic studio after install i got my power button lagging from start menu, unistalled as i dont need its features and power button is fine again, it even worked fine with swapping my os drive straight in from my older msi b550 tomahawk build, i did a fresh install after.

Could anyone give me a little advice on what to check in bios to make sure that my 9800x3D is 1:1 with my DDR5 6000?

I had a quick look and couldnt find anything obvious.

On my other PC with an Asrock mobo, there is a specific ratio setting listing in bios fclk:memclk (or something similar) 1:1

Cheers

I checked mine with cpu-z, comes back at FSB-DRAM 1.30, no idea why as ram is running 2999.0 MHz

In bios, use search at the top and type memclk. This will bring up the setting to make memclk=uclk

Couldnt find memclk, but did find uclk, which lead me to the ratio selection. There are two entries in bios, one in AITweaker, and another buried in AMD advanced overclocking something or other.....I changed both entries from auto to 1:1.

Why does WCCF have Google drive download links to a version ASUS doesn’t have on their site? :D
Think I'll wait, a beta BIOS and Asus does not exactly have a good reputation where those are concerned. :p

"Performance improvements" could mean anything. MSI BIOS lists improvements in certain RAM configurations, so it would not mean for everybody.

I saw the beta BIOS awhile back, but thought I'll wait until we get the official version..... I never install beta versions and think most users here don't either.
