Alien Life Breakthrough

In the constellation of Leo eh...the ancient astronaut theorists will be all over this because of the Sphinx being aligned with the constellation of Leo too
 
Good lord. Possibly the greatest discovery in history, and people haven't a single serious comment to make! *rolls eyes*

This is really important. Not only are there signs of life, but it's not that far away. Well, in terms of space, it's not that far, but it's still way beyond anything we can visit. Although I am sure that people will be working 24/7 to come up with ideas.

The planet will now become a target for some intense study. I mean, this is important enough to drive forward the funding for the next big space telescope. Unfortunately NASA seems to be about to get some serious Trump funding cuts, so I guess the next steps may be left to Europe or China.

This is certainly one to watch.

It’s the news agencies giving out a basic headline - the scientists know this and it’s an interesting discovery which shows off the capabilities of the James Webb, and it’s not the first time it’s happened.

It COULD be an indicator of microbial life, but that’s not a very good headline…
 
As much as I’d love for indisputable evidence that other life does/has existed in the universe to be found, it’s never aliens until it IS aliens.
