Besides the price and the **** power connector, the GPU is ******* amazing.

Lets be real, You would get one if it was cheaper and did not have a crap connector.

The performance of it is second to none and the efficiency is off the charts.

The fe version is the best designed GPU ever. Its two slots and does not run hotter than 75c under full 1000% load by the way. And thats 75c whilst pushing 500+w on it. And it does not sound like a jet engine taking off!!!

Yes its expensive. yes it has a **** power connector but everything else is just pure class.

All nvidia need to do for the 6090 is make it dual PCI e connecttion with load balance detection on, extra 30% rasta performance and sell it for 1.5k and we are good to go.

Make a 6080 at 900 quid and make it 95% as fast as a 5090. dual slot also and with new two pci power connector and you will be lapping it up!!!!

People really need to stop flinging the word "hate" around, Hate is a very serious thing, This aint it.

I have a 5080, Was for a time eyeing up the 5090's but decided 2 grand on a card would be incredibly irresponsible.

You can get basically on par with a stock clocked 4090 if you overclock the 5080 but to be honest I cap most of my games at 60 any way to have a quiet and cool system.

They will in future, honestly isn't critical at min though. Lots of other things can do and they have their own TSR which is better than FSR and really not far off DLSS so there really isn't much need. FSR4 seems like a sensible thing to jump too in a year or two and not worry about the middle ground.

It's two games plus setting up a studio in multiple offices for 800m

One Is a mmo, which is one of if not the most expensive and difficult type of game to make, plus a single player cinematic game in space.

All for 800m spent so far

It it shocking, but no more so than the dozens of "AAA" games that do release in a shocking state over and over again.

Never use to be like that, if nothing else Star Citizen and all it's problems have shown again what a house of cards modern games are built upon.

Bottom line is SC is multiple years late, has a scope that is wildly bigger than originally and in danger of never releasing at this point. Those involved now can either sunk cost themselves into oblivion or simply cross fingers and play other games.. I'm in the latter. Hope it comes out, but busying myself with other things after years of closely following the project. Dont' back would be my advice, wait on release, reviews etc.
