Something like the Das6 Nano would be ample, and it comes with pads too. But not sure it’d be hugely worth getting a machine for a single job as they’re still circa £200

the only machine i have is a 12V drill that i use as a screwdriver, will this do ?

You’d end up with rotary buffer lines with a dremel, which would look worse IMO
rotary are nonetheless what the experts use for faster results
but yes seems standard dremmel would have too high an rpm and burn the material - 12v drill could have a lower rpm/high torque/more flexibility though.
( Only thing other than the car I'd used 6" das for was buffing some of the mirrored stainless parts on espresso machine )
e: erbauar 18v combi looks like it has right speed options

That’s because they don’t know how to use a random orbital.
It’s EXTREMELY rare you need a rotary over a random orbital. Only really ≈2000-2012 of German cars, particularly the Mercs with the ceramic paint option and maybe some others.

Oh I stopped watching Pan since the whole self awarding debacle and the complete lack of self-awareness of how bad it came across.
I kinda was not into him already for his shouty style that I abhor in YouTubers. It’s a shame because his production value was really good.

I could write a long list of reasons why Pan needs to improve his understanding of detailing, but then most influencers do.
Being popular is not the same as being an expert.

Glad I'm not the only one who can't stand Pan. The guy just waffles and waffles and waffles on. He manages to fit 30 seconds of useful content in to a 10 minute video.

still, all good if you have an outside tap, driveway and garage. I have only 1 of those 3 and that's a drive and not very wide at all. Still struggling to figure out what to do to wash mine. I got the new car on Friday and it is already covered in atmospeheric summer dust and pollen

you should do what i do
i don't have a drive (although i can use one occasionally)
i fill up a garden sprayer with rinseless wash
I fill up a Jerry can with rinseless wash
put my stuff all in a bucket
take it all over to my car
Take all the tools out of bucket, then fill the bucket up from the Jerry can
spray the rinsless wash over car
wash car
dry

My wheels are in a bit of state with baked on dirt and brake dust that I don't i'm ever going to be able to remove with the wheels on the car so I was wondering if anyone could recommend an inexpensive torque wrench and axle stand? I'm guessing i'll need quite an aggressive acid based wheel cleaner too.

Just use all clean first (APC)
I’ve been used Bilt Hamber AutoWheel which gets rid of the majority of the muck but there’s still a lot of really stubborn stuff on the barrels which I don’t think I can do anything about with the wheels still on the car. Removing them would enable me to put a coating on them too.
