I just bought an RG 406H, but for £40 more am pretty tempted by this and return the 406H. I did fancy the 406H for the similar size to the RG Cube though, the 557 is quite a bit bigger.

Just curious on what’s the safest place to order retro handhelds from and if it’s possible to get any from the uk themselves?

I’ve seen that Retroid Pocket 5 looks good.

Russ has a review up for the Retroid Classic, both 4 and 6 button models.

Would be the 4 button for me, and definitely a colour where the bezel is black to blend with the oled screen. Odd the 6 button has that awful grey bezel, clashes with the oled for me. But then I've always hated that Saturn colour too.

Is strange the gpu isn't great and struggles with shaders which aren't that difficult to run. The RGXX Anbernic devices are a bit limited on the better shaders so kinda expected that would be a walk in the park given the fact this can run PS2.

I think I will wait for mk2 for this, I feel like this is a very good device but v2 will iron out the rough edges, like the fan noise.

Saturn 8 way dpad would have gone down a dream on the 6 button classic (and have less clicky buttons)

Fan noise on what device, classic?

And yet I'm still tempted by the Pokemon colourway :D
Does look great.

I'm hoping they might fix some of this in time, coil whine would drive me spare, and maybe even improve the gpu performance with some firmware or driver updates. Not sure how possible tbh.

They have tweaked devices in the past to deal with some hardware issues like the dodgy triggers on the Pocket 4 so here's hoping.

AYANEO Pocket ACE sounds interesting. High powered (Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, Adreno A32) 4.5" 3:2 LCD display (1620x1080)
Price seems to be anything from $343 > $700!

Downsides - Cost, not OLED, doesnt look very ergonomic, no 3.5mm headphone jack, personally I would prefer 4:3 1280 x 960 or 1920 x 1440

The Retroid pocket classic does look good, very tempted... I actually discovered at the weekend, out of the current devices I own (RG CubeXX, RG40XXV, RP5) that the CubeXX is my favourite to just pick up and play.
So much so, that I am tempted to get the RG Cube (non XX) and sell the XX, as I can then play 3DS too etc.
The RP5 is excellent, but I think it's best for the higher end systems.

My RG40XX V arrived today.

Nice looking device, only had a brief play, the dpad is a bit uncomfortable but might just need wearing in.

I'm finding now I'm not using my handhelds as much now. So I'll be selling my RG cube, my RP5 along with the fitted grips and possibly my Odin 2 pro. Is the MM here good to sell them? I've sold tons of pc gear on there and an Xbox series X in past. Just need to move them on now. All brand new.

I've sold a bit of stuff on the MM over the years, is good but be prepared for low ball offers as OCUKers like a bargain.

You'll get more on Ebay I suspect but once you take into account the fees and the hassle of people not paying or wanting returns and trying to rip you off I prefer it.

CEX is an option too, they don't usually offer great prices but I've used them for the convenience and got the cash immediately.

My BATLEXP G350 was delivered today. Looks, feels and runs really, really well for a £28 device. All the reviews said it came with a branded SD card but sadly mine didn't. I'm going to chance it anyway as the read and write speeds still seem decent enough compared to some of the crap I've used but I'm a little disappointed it didn't come with the branded one.

Any preference around here between arkOS and Pan4elec?

I might be interested in the RP5.. What version is it?
It's the black one of that's any good? Lol. Don't know if there's different models now? It was the first ones I pre ordered on release. I really like it and the girls transformed it but I've got to move a few things on having just bought an new LG C4 oled.

Girls Transformed it?
