Yeah they have been appalling this time around. I am going to leave a bad review for them about the whole process. You have other shops - OCUK included but also other than OCUK - who are getting loads of cards regularly and the one you mention have so many days where they say they are getting none through. Like today the Astral OC, they had 8 or so and OCUK has 100 odd. Now OCUK are probably paying more for the stock and passing that onto their customers but at least that way you get a choice. I'd say most people chucking 2 bags or more on a 5090 won't have too many qualms paying an extra £1-200 to actually get their card now rather than waiting endlessly.

When I was in the queue there, I moved 4 places for the Aorus Master in 2 months. To be fair, they had 2 drops after I dropped out but based on what I've heard, they would have been very small drops so I likely would have still been in the queue. 16 -> 12 in over 2 months with zero drops and no ETA. Pathetic.

Selling well I see then........

The 5090’s are flying!
The difference is when I do a good deal that I know will be popular I try my hardest to try and ensure that offer / deal will remain available for as long as possible!

On the Palit 5090 at £2099 we had 500 in this week for the deal and another 300 next week plus other models of 5090 landing in the last week and what due next week would be 1500 units.

As such our Palit 5090 at £2099 should in theory remain in stock and not sell out and I don’t need to do the numbers but every 500 units 5090 sold is 1M+ revenue.

I just far prefer to do a good deal but a deal everyone gets a good opportunity to get by it remaining in stock because we’re getting a much larger volume than competitors proven by how long our stock remains available, so everyone gets time to make a purchasing decision and if all goes as planned we won’t sell out with another 300 dropping next week. :)

That is a decent price you secured on the Palit 5090 so it will undoubtedly sell well.

what about the rest of the stack? 5070 and 5080?

5070 under MSRP at £499 and in stock, don’t see anywhere else cheaper with stock. :)

5080 in stock at £979 and again don’t see anywhere else cheaper with stock. :)

OcUK has had above pricing for weeks now and been always in stock we’re doing a great job on both pricing and stock I feel. :)

@Gibbo
I have a pre order for a 5070ti that's not hit yet, will I get the promotional code when it ships or do I need to contact customer services to cancel and re-pre order it?

If we're talking about the place with the queue system, then my guess is that they locked themselves into not paying more for cards from suppliers than they'd taken on pre-orders. We know now that it's been a wild west situation for retailers as well, with them having to pay way above MSRP for cards, in some cases direct from the AIB manufacturer. So that place was able to hold its launch day prices, but not to get the cards to service its queues, which kinda defeats the whole point.

I was in the queue for the Gamerock 5090 for just over 6 weeks and moved less than 20 places, with around half of the movement looking like it was due to people dropping out. As you say, when I got the chance to buy for a couple of hundred quid more (but not the silly £2500+ prices that were popping up elsewhere), I did.

I think a lot of people have been taken aback by some of the naked scalping from the AIB manufacturers this time around.

On another note, it's interesting that Nvidia have introduced this promotion now. Wonder if that means demand for the 5080 and below is starting to go slack?

I am not actually sure, maybe contact them because if its not shipped maybe it will automatically add to your order or they can manually add it.

NVIDIA would have no doubt been planning this with Bethesda for sometime and it no doubt is simply within the two week window of the game releasing.
To organise a global campaign takes many weeks/months of planning potentially.

Must admit I'm tempted by a Palit 5090 from here, bought a 5080 only a few weeks ago  glad my PSU is only 850W tbh because a 5090 requires more, I think, I hope
