Shame that Oscar got screwed out of 1st.
Should have got a penalty for skipping the chicane though, so ended up the right way round, even if that robbed Lewis of 2nd.

A sprint race has no business making people pit - that’s my attitude. The tyres shouldn’t deg, it should be wet. It should be full beans for 15-20 laps with no holding back.Mostly reinforces how pointless these sprint races are. If this was a normal race, there'd be a good amount of laps left for something interesting to happen.
Sorry that's absolutely bonkers. If the weather changes you shouldn't be going around on the wrong tyre.A sprint race has no business making people pit - that’s my attitude. The tyres shouldn’t deg, it should be wet. It should be full beans for 15-20 laps with no holding back.
No no.. as I said before it should be a dry race if they want to call it a proper sprint. The clue’s in the name.Sorry that's absolutely bonkers. If the weather changes you shouldn't be going around on the wrong tyre.

PS: I don’t really like sprints and would happily see the back of them anyway.

Kimi reactions saved a lot of injuries at Merc there. Wow. Redbull need a proper spanking for that
Do we think Piastri cut the chicane on purpose prior to pitting ? Without cutting it Norris would have had a very good chance of overtaking him with DRS the following straight.
Quite clever if it was, he not only pulled a gap from it, he also got a way better exit onto the straight.
This isn't the first time there have been unsafe releases and defo not the first unsafe release from RBR.
In my view, the certain knowledge that at some point an unsafe release is going to cause deaths amongst pit crews, should not be a time penalty or a fine...................but should actually be an instant disqualification............no if's no buts.

I don't think that's necessary, the problem is that their constant leniency encourages them to take risks. They must penalise near misses.
I’m sure you understand my point though. They arbitrarily decide where the sprints are held. They may as well only run them at the desert despot circuits where the DTS fans can see the cars go “vroom” more times for their insta pages and it’s a 0% chance of rainSprint doesn't mean it isn't wet/dry/hail/snow, it means a fast, short race.
Yeah would love to see a proper angle of it. I guess it’s fairly moot now though.I’m still confused how Max didn’t get a penalty for being past the yellow line at the start?
