Strange, I've attached a screenshot for you (thought I would throw in my curve and latest score too on these settings)? Mine defo does via the slider on afterburner?
I ll be home later and will screenshot my afterburner for you. Asus GPU tweak also works on advanced oc selection and restart.Strange, I've attached a screenshot for you (thought I would throw in my curve and latest score too on these settings)

Unwanted within 30days. Royal Mail special delivery with up to £2.5 k insurance £28.(cheapest for insurance).I've decided to order another card and have one more attempt at the coil whine lottery before giving up so fingers crossed for that. How are people finding overclockers for returns due to coil whine? Presumably this would come under the category of a cancellation rather than a defect and I've noticed a 50% restocking fee mentioned on the website for this category which looks a bit alarming. I assume this would only apply if the card was damaged in some way? Would breaking a single seal in order to access and test the card affect the refund price?
Also, what services are people using to return cards? I noticed that couriers like DPD only allow items up to £1k in value but some of these cards are worth considerably more than that.
Thanks. The coil whine lottery is expensive at £28 per (losing) ticket but can't be helped. Fingers crossed for 4th time lucky! I'll report back to add some data to the thread.Unwanted within 30days. Royal Mail special delivery with up to £2.5 k insurance £28.(cheapest for insurance).
OCs are very good and efficient with the process, full refund as long as no actual damage obviously.
Eh, I dunno like...5090 Palit I had was fine, others reported this also. Think Zotac has good rep. Still a bit of a lottery.Thanks. My data so far is 2 x Zotac Solid Core OC 5080 that had very loud coil whine and 1 x Gigabyte Windforce SFF OC 5080 that had slightly lower pitched but equally loud coil whine.
Going for a 5090 model this time which is probably going to decrease my chances.
you need the additional modified file to enable itYep, I am using the beta one, still won't go to 3k
Is it even worth squeezing out that extra 1kyou need the additional modified file to enable it
Sorry you got this unlucky.I received a Palit Gamerock 5090 OC today and it's the worst coil whine so far. Absolutely horrendous and it's even a constant presence in games where I didn't hear any coil whine at all with the previous 5080s I ordered. I'm beginning to think that a 5000 series GPU without coil whine doesn't exist. I think I'm done with the coil whine lottery now after 4 attempts. If I hadn't given away my 3080 Ti then I'd be going back to that but as things stand I'll just have to stick with the 5080 with the least amount of coil whine that I got previously and wait for the next generation or the generational refresh in the hope they are better. I don't know if I've just been incredibly unlucky recently but I've been buying GPUs since the 3dfx era and never experienced anything like this before and never had to return a single GPU until this generation.
In case it helps others, I should also mention that I found the fans on the Palit very intrusive at the minimum speed of arround 1150 RPM. Louder than the other fans in my case even at that speed (and only trumped by the coil whine). The Zotac Solid Core 5080s I've had have the same minimum fan speed but you can barely hear the fans at that speed.
With previous GPUs I've often had it in menus at silly fps but never audible in games at more standard fps like I've been getting with this generation. Tried two different motherboards and two different high quality PSUs with the first 3. Don't think I'm even going to bother with all that hassle with this one. I suppose I've just been unlucky but life is too short to carry on with this lottery game and I feel guilty about all these returns. As someone whose had coil while on all their gpus in the past decade across multiple motherboards, psus etc, I think getting one without is very lucky.
Sorry you got this unlucky.
However,as an owner of a MSI 5080,I can confirm there can be zero coil whine on this generation(and some other users here have no coil whine either);even if no coil whine at all seems rare, low coil whine is more frequent.
Unfortunately I had it in games at normal frames with every single one. I distinctly remember first finding out what coil whine was when I first got my 970. I loaded up a game I was playing and there it was squealing away. I debated for ages whether to return it but didn't after hearing others with the same issue so figured a replacement would just be futile. With previous GPUs I've often had it in menus at silly fps but never audible in games at more standard fps like I've been getting with this generation. Thanks for the info, got a gamerock non oc waiting for me at home later today. Will be nice to compare with the suprim, may end up going with a custom loop and waterblock down the line for the first time if the fan noise is irritating to that extent. That or going with a liquid variant, from MSI, Aorus or Asus.I received a Palit Gamerock 5090 OC today and it's the worst coil whine so far. Just consider GPU AIO carefully. I've tried 2 Astral LC. Whilst the pump noise was ok, still much louder than a CPU AIO as it runs at 100%. Also has a 'grinding' noise. Was doing non gaming PC stuff last night and it done my t#@s in. Just dropped it off at the post office to return! Now cardless, tempted by Suprim LC, but will stick to Air and like you, don't custom loop later if I need to...Thanks for the info, got a gamerock non oc waiting for me at home later today. Interesting. Maybe I've actually been lucky over the years and now it's catching up with me! To be clear, I think I could tolerate it if it was quieter and maybe it has been there in games with previous GPUs before but so quiet that I haven't noticed it. With these 4 recent cards though, it sounds like an insect buzzing around the inside of the case. If there is music and sound effects to drown it out then it's not so bad but it's the quiet atmospheric games where it kills me. Especially since the noise isn't consistent and changes pitch as you pan around the screen in a 3D game.Unfortunately I had it in games at normal frames with every single one. I mostly game with headphones on in more recent years so that solved the problem. Otherwise it persisted through other hardware swaps.

Fingers crossed for you. Somebody in another thread suggested cable tying a 92mm fan to the flow through area on these cards and continuously running it at a low inadudible RPM. The idea being to delay the GPU fans kicking in at their minimum speed and staying in fan stop mode for longer. This seemed a good idea to me and is what I would have tried if I'd kept the card. I might even try it with the Zotac I'm keeping even though the fans are somehow much less offensive at the same RPM.
