Depends what sort of price you can get one for. They throw out some stonking trade in/free stuff deals at the pixel launches these days so might not actually cost much if anything more than picking up one of the 9 series now
They keep saying the next gen will be better than ever etc. I've found the 9 pro XL to be great. Like you I'm a pixel fan and have been since the Nexus days. I just like the vanilla android experience.
The tensor 5 will have a new architecture so who knows if that will make it even better. The speed and camera are what people usually want. And battery life.

Oh nexus, there’s a blast from the past.
The last pixel phone I had was a 4XL, I was all in on Google and bought it along with stadia lol.
Historically Samsung have always had more powerful phones but I was never a fan of touchwiz- think they’ve long moved on from that, and the duplication of apps, two messages apps etc. So only ever considered the google phones.
I have been keeping an eye on prices, but looks like I missed the recent drops. I could have got a 256gb for £999 from Amazon. Not the cheapest it’s been but still a £200 saving.
I'm not seeing this deal?Google Store - £350 off the 9 pro & pro XL.
Good deal?
I received a promotion code, maybe because I bought from Google Store previously (Pixel 6)?I'm not seeing this deal?
Been using since launch. No issues here. Only complaint is the GPS is not as good as my previous 6 Pro but seems the entire 9 series is affected with that, but it's still good enough for me to use when driving.I'm very tempted by the 9 Fold.
Did anyone here regret buying it? Anyone had hardware issues?
If it was cheaper I'd jump on it, but it's the only thing that's making think twice.
Looks like either Google or Meta or both have fixed this, battery has been back to normal today and looking at the updates list both Instagram and some of the Android system apps were updated yesterday. My battery is definitely worse over the last few weeks, seems to be a mix of the May update and Instagram so who knows which one will find the fix.
Yes I did, I had huge issues and wireless Android Auto.I'm very tempted by the 9 Fold.

Was it recent and up to date? Or when it was first released?Yes I did, I had huge issues and wireless Android Auto.
I have a Volvo S90 T8 and a seperate AA unit, my old S23 Ultra worked perfectly connected to both the car and separate unit, the Pixel Fold simply would not work as all. I had cable to head unit directly and it just would not even connect to the Carpodgo I have.
It also would not stay connected to my Shokz Open Earbuds either. I sent it back to Google but they returned it with no fault found so its been factory reset and stuck in a draw.
Bought it in Feb of this year and was on the latest Android release until I shelved it.Was it recent and up to date? Or when it was first released?
That's standard behaviour. First connection needs to be cabled before wireless will work, at least in any cars I've used it in. Specifies it in their manuals as well so it's not just a weird pixel quirk.I also tried the Fold in my wifes car (22' Plate Kia Sportage) and it would not connect at all until I cabled it first, then AA Wireless worked fine after that.

Interesting, like I said it's even been in the car manuals for the ones I've used.No it isn't for wireless AA, at least on the Samsung's I've owned.
Connect via Bluetooth and then get a prompt to allow wireless Android Auto which then configures the local wifi connection automatically, grant permissions and away you go.
Tested on literally dozens of cars as I have a different car every other week as work abroad a lot and get a different hire car most weeks.
