Games you're playing, and games...

I have played a fair few JRPGs in my time and even removing recenecy bias this is 100% one of the best I've ever played.
I'm on the third act now and am just finishing off all loose ends before I complete it.

FFX and FF7 (original) were always joint number 1 in my world, this might be number 2. I honestly love it and I've not loved a game in a very long time.

Edit: the world building and atmosphere are incredible. Seeing the ominous paintress in the background is awe inspiring IMO

One thing I have really enjoyed it the music/soundtrack, some of the audio and subtle background music is awesome, it is not loud and over the top, it is just pleasantly there, superb work. Cannot praise this game enough. Also really enjoying the doge and parry system in this.

The music is incredible and yeah you're completely right. It's not loud or over the top, it just adds into the atmosphere. I bought the OST off Bandcamp straight away.
My favourite is Stone Wave Cliffs - The Last Thing You'll See

This evening I finished Expedition 33.

IMO it's the best JRPG since FFX, and my favourite story since Horizon Zero Dawn.

I have to agree, just finished Act I
what the hell!.. Gustave :(
and It's one the best game I've played in a long time.
Loving the story, very emotive.Visuals, music and battle system are all very polished. Despite reading some dropped to story mode I'm still playing it on expedition and not finding it too difficult either, quite rewarding in fact. So not sure what they're on about.

Looking forward to Act II, although the story's left me a bit sad.

Getting stuck on BS bosses in AI Limit (skill issue, no doubt haha). Maybe I'm just fatigued with Soulslikes so Expo 33 is calling, going to order it shortly.

Expedition 33 certainly sounds like something I can’t ignore. Will grab it soon I think.

I never heard of it until all the reviews came out, ended up getting it hooked on it and love every thing about it. It is exceptional.

I thought KCD2 undoubtedly was going to be my GOTY... I think this is going to take it's place!

It’s a tough call as I have not finished expedition33 yet.. but it’s gonna be damn close.

I am actually playing through KCD1 again and it’s much smoother on the Pro than it was before on the PS4 and PS5. I’m at the trebuchet part so not long left plus I am doing the DLC stuff which I didn’t do before.

Started Indy on PS5, but struggling to find time to play it. The game seems much more expansive than I expected, I've very much enjoyed what I've managed to play so far, but parenthood is a difficult obstacle!

Waiting for the price to drop, as it's still in silly territory, but very much looking forward to when I can grab a copy

Still enjoying AC Odyssey. I'm a bit behind on the AC games but have them all waiting to play apart from Shadows.

I'm NOT enjoying FC25 ultimate team. Think I'm going to uninstall it again. I went 1-0 down early and then the person spent the rest of the game playing it back to their goalkeeper. How's that fun?! Combined with the ridiculous game mechanics and I think I'm done and won't be returning for FC26.

Still absolutely loving this, no idea how far I have got left but just
beat Renoir, what a battle! Not sure if this is a spoiler but anyway :p
The more you do these fights the more muscle memory kicks in and you find yourself on auto pilot :D
Also I thought the voice actor for Maelle sounded familiar, had to Google it and yes it's Shadowheart from Baldurs Gate 3!

I have been enjoying Doom Dark Ages. I'm not rushing it; I'm just finding it easy to pick up for a bit. More into it than I was with Eternal—can't explain it, it just didn't grab me compared to the Doom remake in 2016.
