My other half hadn't seen it and didn't like it because it felt "like all the other sci-fi". I tried to explain it was the first one to be like that, but sadly to no avail.

I could watch it over and over and forget the sequels exist!

Jackie Brown - 7/10 - One of Tarantino's underrated gems.

Delicatessen - 7/10 - Wonderfully quirky French movie. Scrubbed up well on 4k too, whilst keeping the grain!

I am a massive Alien franchise fanboi however and am just gonna say I disagree.

I would find it hard to choose between 1 and 2 (both very different genres). Alien 3 is more like a sequel to the 1st film in many ways . ..

I'll watch them again at some point to see if my view still holds

Final Destination : Bloodlines 7 / 10

Excellent instalment of the FD franchise and amazing that after 7 films they can still keep the formula fresh and entertaining. It's no Oscar winner ofc, hence the 7, but for a FD movie - if you like the genre, it's more a 9/10.

Apparently he's really good in Rivals, which I've not seen. Seems he's been enjoying an uptick in popularity lately.
