Clarkson's Farm

Yeah, like the whole 'testing 8 sensible tractors and then buying another Lambo...'

I was actually annoyed it worked as honestly, I'm still convinced the issue was lack of traction, not lack of power. I don't think the extra power was the reason his new tractor was successful with the plowing. If you look at the tyres from the failed attempt, they were caked and basically like slicks. The second attempt, he had actual tread to use.
Quite. Even if he needed more POWAH, surely he actually needed more torque that BHP? The wheels were spinning due to lack of grip/traction in the wet mud. Surely after a few years of farming Jezza must know this? Perhaps shirley not? :p

Maybe it was the newer tyres that worked but Jezza assumed it was the increased POWAH that fixed it.

ok let me rephrase it......why would anyone want to go and watch crap like that?!

And what is 'it'?

They probably didn't expect Kaleb to get everyone on their feet and singing 'The Combine Harvester'. You could say the same about why people pay a fortune to see certain bands that you think are terrible. He's clearly a popular character on the show and many people's favourite, so it's no surprise that people wanted to show him further support. I think he'd struggle to sell another tour based on those clips though!

It's entertainment that's edited in a format you'd expect to see from Clarkson. He was never going to simply do everything properly and not make an effort to do things himself. He's stubborn and has got himself into trouble throughout his career.

You can actually watch it and check it out for yourself...

More likely that the ground had less moisture in it and so didn’t require as much traction.

The same guy who only booked one lorry for the hay was it he needed to get off the farm?
If you think this wasn’t ‘scripted’, you need to go back and watch it again.

It’s so obvious the bits of the series which were set up in advance and which were not.

Basically where there just happened to be a full camera crew in place to capture the ‘moment’ = set up ahead of time. Sure their words are not scripted but the situation is.

There are only bits where they were genuinely shooting from the hip and you can tell by the shaky camera and dodgy sound, probably captured on a phone.

Yeah 100%

As anyone who has driven ever knows if its slippy you never need more power or torque, you need to be able to apply the bare minimum that will translate into forwards momentum, along with ideally adding as much grip as necessary.
Giving exception to drifting.

He has done the same thing before, using POWAH! to move and ending up wrecking the area. IIRC it was when he was building that pond.

Next 2 episodes are out. Still great fun and whilst still scripted in certain points, in episode 6 the 2 ladies that 'restore pubs' are clearly taking the mick. For one point considering the amount of pubs on sale in the area they cover they aren't good and £40k for 3 big umbrella's to cover the deck?! Come on, a decent carpenter, electrician and materials would be half the price at least to cover the entire area in sections. Don't think they will be in business long unless they get more celebrities.

Haha I love Harriet

Clarkson “What’s this £40 when I bought a cow?”

Harriet “it’s luck money. no tax.”

Clarkson “well there’s now because HMRC will see this”

Harriet “we’ll give it him back (wink)”

LOL
