Clarkson's Farm

Good to see Harriet back, wonder if they'll keep her coming back in the next season too as she plays well off Jeremy.

Seeing him with Hammond was good too.

We all know his pubs open but it was sort of surprising just how quick the costs started ramping up.

Loving this as much as the others, Harriet is brilliant and I loved the fact that as soon as he rocked up at Hammonds place they were arguing within minutes....
Makes me wonder if we'll see the the tractor work getting done on Hammonds Workshop show as I really like that as well.

I've been on a binge with this, extremely watchable as always. Am I right in thinking this is the last series after some controversy a while back?

I won’t link to it but a popular YT foodie popped up on my feed and he’s proper visited the pub so I’ve mostly seen how the place has turned out (furnishings wise) and how popular it is.

I’d be surprised as hell to see if it lasts.

Next 2 episodes are out. Still great fun and whilst still scripted in certain points, in episode 6 the 2 ladies that 'restore pubs' are clearly taking the mick. For one point considering the amount of pubs on sale in the area they cover they aren't good and £40k for 3 big umbrella's to cover the deck?! Come on, a decent carpenter, electrician and materials would be half the price at least to cover the entire area in sections. Don't think they will be in business long unless they get more celebrities.
I work for Mitchel and Butlers. Our pub had a refit last year, those prices are about right.

Watched all 6 episodes last night, looking forward to the next 2. Plus, are you guys still going on about 'scripted'. Jesus, its an entertainment show. The Topgear/Grand Tour scripted comments over the years got tedious, now doing the same with a farming show. Just leave it be.

Binged and watched all the available episodes, looking forward to the remaining when they are released.

Clarksons chat with Kaleb was funny and needed.

Harriet is a nice addition and she fits well with the rest of them.

£40,000 for three umbrellas? Yeah being ripped off.
The large Jumbrellas are ridiculously expensive. I’ve got a friend who runs a pub in Guernsey and he’s recently replaced all his. His courtyard looks about the same size as the one they were talking about and the big umbrellas he has completely cover the area. I think there’s six of them in total. They’re huge, have mounting posts that are at least six inches square and it cost him £60,000 to replace the lot. It’s worth it to him because without them, if the weather is poor then he loses custom as nobody can sit outside. They pay for themselves relatively quickly.

It’s not just a large golfing brolly.

Am only 10 mins into the latest episode (7 I think) but yeah, whilst I still enjoy the show. Sooo scripted. £1k per month for 'Wi-Fi'. I worked for a recent company that had no fibre access and for 200mb up and down was £180 p/m for a business plan so backup etc (Admittedly they did get fibre access whilst I was working there. £50 p/m for 5x speed but they were in a 2 year contract!). Do I go with people ripping off Clarkson or just done for show purposes hmmm....open Wifi at a restaurant is never expected to be the best experience so I am going to go for the latter.

Albeit he has worked in a different job since COVID but my brother used to work for companies like Easynet - even with a equipment service plan and priority support it wouldn't be £1K a month for a small to medium business.
