Ive had mine nearly a week now and can't say I've noticed the high input lag at 165hz , had a few wins on verdansk so it can't be that bad tbhwould like to see another test done on it as from what I can tell its only Rtings that have done a test and recorded a higher number at 165hz and a few FW have been released since then and could have possibly decreased the number, if it is genuinely that much higher then hopefully LG will fix it via firmware updates ....
Really am enjoying this G5 though and absolutely no regrets at all , it is a night and day difference vs my CX , much better brightness and colours, and noticeably smoother with the extra 45hz
( only issue is I need to buy longer hdmi cables as they are now all stretched due to the ports being in a different location)

Yeah with this screen it sits a touch lower than my CX did and now just catching the centre speaker for reflectionWould recommend using some black velvet on the center, to reduce reflections. My center is matt vinyl but the glare from the TV is annoying, and yours is gloss black so would be much much worse. Can't do it on the Panasonic BD due to heat but maybe some kind of alternative?
can switch the PS5 Pro and Panny BD around which will sort that side but for center will do what you said and get a cover for it
and as for the 4.5k price i agree it is ridiculous and not a figure I would normally spend on a TV but did so on this occasion as I had a £2200 voucher from my previous CX so had to put £2300 of my own money which obviously makes it easier than paying out a full 4.5k which i wouldn't be doing otherwise, just genuinely surprised at how the price has been slashed so much so early but is what it is .Yeah with this screen it sits a touch lower than my CX did and now just catching the centre speaker for reflectioncan switch the PS5 Pro and Panny BD around which will sort that side but for center will do what you said and get a cover for it
Well just got off the phone with JL and the only way we can do this new price is if I buy another G5 with the discount and return the one i have now so that's what its gonna be then as not just giving away £900 like thatand as for the 4.5k price i agree it is ridiculous and not a figure I would normally spend on a TV but did so on this occasion as I had a £2200 voucher from my previous CX so had to put £2300 of my own money which obviously makes it easier than paying out a full 4.5k which i wouldn't be doing otherwise, just genuinely surprised at how the price has been slashed so much so early but is what it is .
I'm not 100% sure how that's works , will have to get on the phone to them again to find out .... if that is the case will have to wait for a credit note to buy it again , what a load of hassleYou can't get refund from vouchers? You'll get credit note or something?

So yep you are correct i will only get back the same i paid so £2200 voucher and £2300 cash, feel like just going back to bed todayYou can't get refund from vouchers? You'll get credit note or something?
just cancelled my 2nd G5 that i purchase about an hour ago , only way this is gonna work is being without the TV for a few weeks while this is all sorted.I would say yes its worth it , its not without its issue in HDR10 if you are really looking for them which has been pointed out in various reviews but in my honest opinion its not as bad as its made out to be and I have to go looking for issues to spot them but on a TV costing this much it should be faultless which at this point in time it isn't, saying that at times the pictures it produces are absolutely gorgeous and have certainly had a few wow moments when watching good quality content...Richer Sounds have a good deal on with the 65" G5. after discount and cash back TV price = £2389.
Tempted to pull the trigger. But with some issues raised above is it worth it?

Turns out the 20% off is ending tomorrow night (3rd) so anyone who is on the fence might want to make a decision soon as looks like they will go back to the full asking price for now .
There is such a thing as a bad winnerunless they decide to drop it another £900 within 10 days

She was sniffing around it as soon as it was dropped off so no doubt will be jumping in the box when I unpack itYou spend £3000 on a box for your cat to play in?
I won't be unpacking it until a friend comes round to help with lifting it on to the wall yet again, weight wise I could easily lift it but as its nearly 2 metre wide I can't exactly get my arms around it on my own
Honestly I was absolutely fuming when the price dropped as much as it did , I really didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it etc but for almost 25% of the cost it was hassle that needed to be gone throughThere is such a thing as a bad winner![]()
all's well that ends well
