Depends what this actually means - I'm happy to pay for Lite if it ensures interruption/disruption free viewing and not bothered if there are ads on music videos (at least commercial ones) or incidental ads which don't intrude on the viewing experience, but anything else and I'm out.

EDIT: Wouldn't surprise me though if they use it as a taster then to try and beat people into paying for full Premium as that has been their MO from the start - rather than make an effort to make the product attractive to people to spend more money on it.

If premium was a tenner a month. Not many would go the vpn route but when it's the same price as Netflix etc that make content that tends to cost a fair amount of money compared to your YouTuber. It's laughable.
. Even the likes of mkhd etc don't make videos that cosy million to make like many Netflix content

Personally I spend a lot more time watching stuff on YouTube than Netflix (well I binned off Netflix anyhow a few months back) some of the stuff I'm into there are people making very good content on YT.

EDIT: None the less I don't see YT worth £12.99/m though especially with the tactics they use to try and manipulate people into paying for Premium and that a lot of the site outside the core functionality is poor.

YouTube decided that I don't live in Serbia anymore.

Explored the option of just committing to a Family Plan and paying full whack, but guess what, you can't start or join a YouTube family plan with a work space account.

Ok, so I don't use any of the business functionality, cloudflare host my domain, let's look at moving my Workspace account to a personal gmail account. Nope. Impossible.

Ok, how easy is it to just export/move my data to a google personal account? An absolute nightmare that I spend two days looking into and trying different methods which generally all failed.

Finally found a nice little studio apartment in Algeria to move to for £4 a month ;)

What a terrible terrible company google are, I really do want to move everything I can away from them but i'm so deeply embedded in the ecosystem (even though I use an iPhone) that I just can't be bothered to sit down and work out how to truly do it :mad:

And what's funny is that YouTubers get maybe 1 percent of that 12 pounds a month in revenue.

I recently wanted to downgrade a higher-tier premium Google account to the 200GB plan because I got fed up of the technical issues and stuff - do you think I could simply click on it? doesn't even appear without a lot of song and dance and cancelling and re-enabling the premium account so as to make the standard plans appear, then cancelling and subscribing to the standard 200GB plan.
 
Paid for a month as we were on holiday (for the download option) cancelled already it's just so expensive at £12.99 compared to the other stuff I pay for. Think I'll have to find an apartment in Algeria it seems. Long commute from watching netflix in turkey ....
 
So I had a South African sub. Paid for by my South African bank card. Linked to my SA bank account.

Got the “we don’t believe you’re in SA” mail and they canned my sub.

Yeah that's why I'm not on it anymore. Albeit mine was turkey then Phillipines. Wasn't convinced on effort of doing it to get canned straight away

Yeah I have not bothered to set it back up again. If I end up watching more YT again I may just get a UK sub and be done with it.
 
They finally kicked me out of Chile for the second time, tried signing up again, but that country can't be verified now. I've now moved to Algeria and on the same family plan I'm now saving 10p a month :D
 
My run has ended lol after 8 months. I'm beginning to think that considering how much I use it, I might just pay for it normally because I don't have any other subscriptions I pay for monthly.

My renewal in Poland went through today, its pretty much like they evicted me from Poland, I left the country for a few days and then just moved back.

It let me sign up to Poland again.

Next time I get caught I'll just pay the full whack
