Best number plate supplier?

Plates turned up yesterday, despite them messaging me that I had to send them the V5, they just sent them out anyway.

Will pop them on the car this weekend and see how they fare.

I had this from an Amazon seller too. I messaged them the day after I placed the order asking how to supply the docs but they said they'd been dispatched already

I have used both £35~ Halfords and the "£10 a plate" bloke at Autojumbles, what irks me is that he does a far better job making them straight and without air bubbles than Halfords :D

@Diddums
is the quality alright ?
I've just received some ebay plates and they are awful, loads of marks and dust on the print which is now trapped between the print and the perspex
I'm sending them back, so need to order some more now.

A month later, they're now on the car :p

Mine looked awful too, until I realised that there was a protective film on them which I simply peeled off to reveal a minty fresh looking plate. Couple of holes drilled, screwed to car, job jobbed.

Looking for a new plate....

Seen them on ebay £12....tempted but not sure.

Halfords want £18....should i get them here?

Why aren’t self adhesive sticker plates a thing?

Think of all of the millions of tonnes of plastic we are moving around the country!

Ebay for sure.. Halfrauds want £18 each, you can get a set for less than that..

Cheapest I've seen is £12 a pair (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/388335510064)

I used this seller, and the quality was spot on and came with really powerful adhesive strips if you wanted to not drill anything..
£15.99/Pair : Normal Plates: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166793711409
£13.99 Pair: EV Plates: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/167317288463

You can buy individual plates (front/rear) if that's all you need..

Cause after one rain shower or one day in the sun they'd be peeling off. Can you imagine in the winter too the mud caking would end up staining them.

I don’t know what stickers you’ve used but I’d like to reference you to the stickers dishwasher manufacturers attach to your dishwasher advertising the overpriced branded tabs. Those things are never coming off, even with a jet wash or grinder.

I would say they are more secure as the fasteners can wear in time, or just be undone.

Cheers all, went with Lush Plates on Ebay in the end. At £20 it's worth a punt, and the MOT is due in a few weeks so if it passes I'm happy.
Also bought from this eBay seller - he did message me for documents before posting them out (screenshot of DVLA email confirming new reg was sufficient).
Really happy with the quality for the price I paid. Genuine 3M sticky pads provided, too.

Did they send them out without demanding V5C etc

What have you done!? Atleast takes the eye away from the butt of the car.

I followed the instruction and sent pics of v5c , but as per others, I imagine if you forgot to do that they’d probably send them anyway.. or just refund if not
Thanks, I'm just going to risk it and see if they send them, like they did for Diddums. I really do not like the idea of giving a copy of my V5C and ID to some random on ebay - a proper place like Halfords, in person, sure, but not randoms online :D

They will, they'll send you a message telling you to send the V5, this is just a box-ticking exercise. Just order and wait.

I ordered a set on eBay the other day, they didn't even bother trying to ask for docs just sent them out for next day delivery
