Insomnia Sufferers in here!

I don’t know if any of you have tried this but I’m seeing a doctor about it tomorrow. See how it goes.

Edit. From what I understand this is safe to use over a longer period as opposed to the z-drugs (zolpidem etc)

Have you tried one of those black out blinds that don't allow sunlight through?

I have not got a full blackout no, i guess i could try it

Its also the noise, i am a very light sleeper when it comes to noise and i can typically hear things waking up around 4am which doesnt help

Its also not just noise and light, i guess i am just aware its BST and i cant relax enough to sleep.

In terms of noise I always put my noise cancelling earbuds in and listen to some relaxing music when in bed. It blocks out everything and seems to do the job.

So reporting back. I tried Quviviq for a week and it’s a no go. As I’m trying to fall asleep, I get moments of 2-3 minute intervals, where I’m wanting to roll over or whatever, but I cannot move. (Sleep paralysis) my brain is telling my body - MOVE. But nothing. It’s like I’m fighting myself to try to roll over, which doesn’t happen - then I panic - leading to worse sleep.

I have heard in the last few days that recent research found that eating fruit during the day can help boost sleep.

Full blackout room helped me a bit. Tried everything from gym at midnight to medical cannabis. After many years of trying this, that, and everything else I just go with it as I have no choice. I occasionally have afternoon naps for 30 mins or so and the dreams are incredibly vivid. Never tried and would never go down the sleeping tablet route.

Bit of an update on the Quviviq. I decided to give it another chance. Took one an hour before bed, one minute I was fine watching tv, next minute I literally, and mean literally, couldn’t keep my eyes open. I think I understand how this works now.

I have not had heavy eyes like that since I was in my late teens early 20’s, when I was doing early 4am shifts and staying up past 11pm.

I keep waking up at 4-5am, its getting annoying now. I'm doing everything by the book- no screens after 10pm, went an early walk yesterday so I got a good image of the sun, no caffeine after 12, having an airflow whilst sleeping.
