Corsair HX1200i ATX v3.1 (2025) PSU

You want windows on an m2 drive rather than an older sata SSD just partition your new drive into 2 x 1tb to keep things separate.
My 1tb is the Kingston NV3 Gen 4x4 NVMe PCIe 4.0 Internal SSD read/write speeds of up to 6,000/5,000MB/s so is that one good for jist the OS and Programs?

nv3 is a decent budget gen4 drive..more than enough for os...endurance isn't massive but as os, you're mainly using it as a read device anyway

The 2TB pro ssd 7,450/6900MB/s will be used for 4K rendering tasks and storage so will be best as the non os drive?
main benefit would be if you had multiple drives and did a lot of read/write between them..that being said from quick looks a ssd can reduce render times, by speeding up the file loading and temp data storage (I don't redure but queried ai over that). for gaming again you probably wont notice the difference from what I readf of people that use gen3 and gen4 drives for gaming..they can't tell the difference...personally, if you doing render jobs that must be doing a lot or read/writes i would have thought, so I'd use the pro sammy pro ssd for that, purely on the endurance rating if nothing else

The promary drive normally goes in the m.2 slot above the gpu...sorry, at work, just check the manual that the slot you have the kingston isn't linked via the chipset..that'll be slightly slower as not directly linked to the cpu as the top slot

hi @VRMan25
you wouldnt be able to throw up a pic of your pc running would you with fans going. Helping a friend of my son put together a build and he's switched from antec C3 to the 3500X. If you could throw a pic up, that would be much appreciated. How you finding it?
also, is there a dust filter for the side fan intakes?

Sorry been away will sort that today for you

My temps from installing stuff were rising to 70 degrees. Is this normal?
Started off at 27-30 for first 10 minutes then started to download and install the drivers from the Gigabyte exe and it steadily rose to 70 as Core temp app showed me. All fans have been running constant including the aio ones so ive turned pc off as scared i'll damage something

Putting the pc under load is going to increase temps and 70c is fine for x3d CPUs .

Go and play a game to test and monitor temps ,also check the memory is now at 6000mhz.

70 degrees is perfectly normal for a cpu

And fans constantly running is normal? I dont know if I should be doing anything in the bios
rs fans aren't they, so plugged directly into mob, rather than a hub..if a corsair hub you can downlaoad Icue and then control fan curve/lightling through that....if mobo, fan curve can be set in bios
when i built ny sons recently and plugged all thed30 fans in, the fan's were all running at 100% for some reason..so they can need adjustingyou should be able to adjust the aio fan s seperately to the side intakes etc.

Plugged directly into the motherboard. All argb. Wouldn't have a clue adjusting fan speeds in bios
