Some people do not understand how some react when in shock....

Its happened to me. My brother passed away tragically and the very next day i went to work!!! How could i do that?? I realise it was through shock.....

BBC was interviewing a family member last night of the sole survivor, he looked totally in shock and it was cringe worthy TV journalism at its worst.

For reference - 25 year military aircraft engineer and holder of a CAA B1 Aircraft Engineering License, but not 787 type rated.

Many hours on Flight Sim, but none in the 13 months since my son was born…

Apologies then if I misinterpreted your post.

Nope, just poking fun at the way we, and myself included, become experts and have strong opinions on things like this, the Titan submersible or rather any disaster/scandal/tragedy after it has happened and after we've had a chance to read the opinions of people who really know what they're talking about.

But it's only being said in jest as how else would we learn if not from the experts!

This just looks like the expected abundance of caution response, unless I'm missing something?

Nope, seems fairly standard.

Probably me reading more into it than what's there, but given that it suggests more inspections of Engine/Fuel/Hydraulic systems, does that not point to them suspecting Engine failure rather than pilot error?
