*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

I still find the flat design profile that they went with hard to hold. I always used some sort of grip with the Switch 1 and now the same with the Switch 2. I'm never that fussed with proper branded stuff so a cheap made in China silicone grip does the job.

Bit late to the party what his the popular screen protector/case people are using?
I’m using this…

Was on offer for £3.99 back in April. You get 2 in the pack. The fitting system isn’t as good as Spiegen, but it works well enough, and it about 1/3rd of the price.

I got the TomToc Slim carry case…
tomtoc Slim Carrying Case at it looked to be form fitting. It’s still pretty large. Offers great protection though. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DT46HMRB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Man Mario kart is frustrating, playing knockout in 1st place for the last 30 seconds coming to the last corner get chain hit with shells 3 times in a row right on the corner and end up in last place and eliminated

The randomness of a supposed competitive game is hella annoying

Have you heard about the trick of NOT doing any slides in the first few laps/half of the race, the AI then learn and thinks you don't know how to do slides/boost and thus it won't do it too. Then you start doing it later on and its too late for it to start boosting and you can pull away further from the pack.

Only works against the computer though.

Lol that's so dumb.

One thing. I only ever use the Switch 2 docked but I'm wondering if I should do the battery thing Nintendo recommends? Things might change in the future and I might have to use handheld for a short time.

If it’s the fix that’s going into recovery mode and back out again, you may as well as it only takes a couple of seconds.

Not sure because the last fix I saw was from Nintendo.

Power off the console fully, hold the power and both volume up/down buttons so it enters recovery mode and then just turn it off and back on again. Doing this should reset the battery percentage.

Reminder that you can remap the new C button if you're not going to use it for chatting, or if you find yourself hitting that instead of Home.

So I ordered one of these for £15 when it was on sale and it came yesterday.

I will start with the bad.

The rumble is terrible, it has off, medium or full. At medium it feels like a diesel engine, and at full it feels like a slightly worse diesel engine. No finesse and actually distracting. I turned it off after playing with it on in 1 race.

The sticks feels light, not as much resistance vs the more expensive pads, (PS5, Pro Controller 1 and 2, Xbox, 8BitDo, Cylone 2). The shoulder buttons are not the most comfortable due to the size of the controller but it certainly is much better than the joycon. The pad is light (neither good or bad).

It does not wake up the Switch 2 unfortunately. Apparently it can wake up the Switch 1.

The good.

It only cost me £14.99.

The sticks despite them feeling loose, they are actually Hall Effects. It comes with these thumb grips to add on them to raise them a little higher.

The D-pad is surprisingly good, it can be adjusted to just a 4 way D-pad or changed to 8 way with diagonals. It feels about 90% of the way to the Nintendo Pro 2 controller.

It's very small and great for travel. Or simply kept as the 4th controller.

I found the PDF manual in the 1st link below, for L1031, L1032 which shows all that i said above.

I managed to pick up one of these by chance on Friday. I wish the original switch was like this from the beginning, all the old titles are far more playable than before. All the stuttering used to drive me up the wall before but now everything is just perfect! Anyway, back to Steamworld Build…

Has anyone in here had this issue? Is it easy to notice?

Yeah in terms of what was possible for games the Switch 1 only felt like a slight upgrade over the Wii U, but the Switch 2 feels more like a new console in that regard (comparing with the previous system).
