Show Us Your Motors!

Even if I were the sort to order new cars I could never do that... 2 years is long enough for me to change my mind about what car I want at least 6 times. :p
We ordered the S-Max in November 2020; 2.5 Hybrid, Titanium X spec, which *was* top spec (bar the Vignale).
When we finally took delivery in March 2023, Titanium X had become the second lowest spec and lost the front & reverse cameras, active cruise, Blind Spot alert, amongst a ton of other equipment.

I was not impressed, but the Galaxy we had was already two years over the max five year lease (Motability - usually 3 years, but can extend to 5 if total mileage is under 15K) and we were pretty much told "take it as-is" or find a different seven seater on the scheme (both the S-Max and Galaxy were pulled in 2022).

So we've made do with the S-Max for the past 2 years. Other than the fuel economy, it's nothing to write home about. My Wife hates it as she relies on the reverse camera.

Hoping the Santa Fe suits her better whilst we argue passionately negotiate over what to get as a second car (I want an RS6, she fancies the Yaris GR).

I think the Yaris GR would probably give you more enjoyment. I'm not sure I'd want two absolutely enormous and heavy cars! As awesome as the RS6 is!

Interested to see how everyone gets on with the Kia/Hyundai big SUVs. I was thinking of something similar for the next car, but for some reason I seem to be drawn to the VW ID Buzz LWB. Probs sticking with what we’ve got for the moment anyway.

Up early.

The E46 M3 has to be considered a classic. Such a handsome car. I think in the future it will mentioned in the same breath as the 2002ti, the E39 M5, the E31 850csi, the E24 635csi, and the E9 3.0csl.

I'm hoping I can keep it alive for another 10 years, it's a tedious battle, but a battle nonetheless:D

One thing that has become way more obvious in recent months is that more and more general members of the public seem to be appreciating it vocally out on the street. Just yesterday a guy leaving his home on the same street walked up and sparked a 5 min conversation:

And then at a set of lights before joining the motorway, the passenger in the back of a car said to roll my windows down and he asked:

Another time a kid and his mum were putting shopping from Tesco into the boot of her car, the kid must have been 7 or 8 max and as I drove around looking for a parking spot the kid shouts out "EMFREEEEE!"

Maybe the world is going to be alright after all :p

Snap!

We needed a replacement for our S-Max - nothing on the Motability scheme that meets our needs/wants, so we've ordered the Santa Fe, too:

Loads of rear legroom for our nearly 6ft thirteen year old, plus I can throw my wheelchair in the boot (with seats 6 &7 down) without needing to pull the wheels off and fold the backrest down. Ordered a boot-divider for the hound, as well.

Long wait for it to be built, though.
I literally thought I was the only person in the country to order one of these, can literally count on 1 hand how many i've seen :cry:

Still waiting for the dealer to give me a delivery date. Waited about 10 weeks for mine, they said it's due into dealer on the 5th July!

Almost 3 years with the Tesla and I can see my self keeping it for another 5+ years.

Every house needs two cars
Tesla Model 3/Y and a 911

740-4 S is not too bad either

No house needs a Tesla. Plenty of better EVs out there, and most of those companies aren't headed by a Yahtzee manchild.
The 911 on the other hand, now that I can get behind. :p

The car just works, it's ideal if you have kids, it's all cheap plastic that you can wipe down and the charging network is a game changer.
