The Naked Gun (2025)

Normally a massive fan of Naked Gun, Airplane etc, but this looks pants

I must have watched a different trailer
My thoughts as well, the only laugh I got was the coffee while driving gag, I assume that's why they put it at the start.

I think Wrongfully Accused is the best Leslie Nielsen film.

The whole sequence from the prison bus to and including the train bit is legendary - I still giggle sometimes thinking about that train :D

Really? Stealing a tagline from one of Kevin Smith's films?

Rock out with your Glock out was used by Cop Out in 2010.

Oh, and Sound of Da Police was also used in Cop Out trailer too.

There was a comment on 4th wall breaking - I haven't watched it in a while but if you look at something like Airplane! there's plenty of nods to the viewer so I don't think it's outside the established style.

There's a straight-up fourth wall break in 2½, in the cocktail lounge when Drebin asks the bartender to bring him a Black Russian :D

I like liam Neeson but his deadpan is too, animated. Leslies deadpan was, dead. The best in the business. Saying that, from the trailer it looks like it has potential, but not on par with NG, Airplane and Top Secret. IMO, Top Secret was the best of them all.
This joke always makes me giggle, even just thinking about it. So silly. But Airplane is still the best.

All these films and hotshots are among some of my fondest childhood/early teen memories.
My dad had them all on VHS I must have seen them 100x

I'm 100% going to see this new rehash I'll know I'll laugh because I'm basically a moron.

I've probably even posted this B4 in the same thread. Kinda proves my point.
