*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

Loving it ToTK looks glorious on my OLED. Think I am going to just buy BoTW again just to play it at this res/fps. Using the old Pro controller which is still a great controller. MKW is fun online but a different game to MK8 and not as good I feel. Still a laugh though with a few beers. No complaints here. It’s exactly the upgrade I was hoping for.

Other games I’ve tried - Diablo 3 no visual improvements but it seems more stable when things get busy both in handheld and via TV. Links Awakening now runs perfectly which is great. Metroid Prime remaster is solid but I need to see more of it.

BOTW looks really good now that it's running at a higher resolution and framerate with HDR. I never finished it before selling my old Switch OLED, but I've already put 50 hours into this again. The Switch 2 I've actually used docked more than handheld, which is a first for me as it just looks so good now on modern 4K screens.

Had to start from scratch because Nintendo won't keep any game saves stored online unless you pay for it. Stop paying, and they will erase every cloud game save you have after a while, which is disgusting really. Steam never does that, cloud game saves should never be erased, and should never be locked behind a pay wall.

I didn't get the pro controller on the OG Switch but the sticks feel great compared to PS5, smooooth!

Two weeks on and the new Pro controller is still my favourite controller. The sticks and buttons are so much better than even my Elite 2 controller, and I've had a few of those over the years (always left stick drift). For a much cheaper price than Microsoft’s, it's a much nicer-built controller, just the right weight as well.

I wasn't going to get the new pro controller as I liked the one from the Switch 1 (and its works with the Switch 2) but everyone keeps saying how good it is

What the material like? I dont like the rubber coating MS put on their Elite, so was trying to stick with what I know.

The pad feels like a baby's bottom. It would be interest to see how it wears over time.

Anyway… so anyone actually enjoying their switch 2 console and not the peripherals and cases etc ?

Yeah really enjoying mine, I've barely touched a game on my PC since I got it; I always looked at it as being more of a Switch Pro than expecting some kind of massive jump.
That said though I think the hardware is lovely; seems better built and put together than the old one and frankly I think the screen is great; I get its not as nice as my old OLED but honestly I'm not that bothered.

Game wise I can't get enough of Mario Kart! Been really enjoying it and as a game I can stick on for 10-20 mins, dip in and out as a distraction its brilliant; I also didn't really notice how much better it looked until I went back and played MK8 again!
"Switch 2" game wise I've had a quick short of the two Zeldas - looking forward to getting some time to play through as they're night and day performance wise. Also really enjoying Cyberpunk - I did briefly play this at the very very start on PC when it was frankly broken - I'm amazed it works as well as it does on Switch 2.
Haven't played much of it but No Mans Sky looks great after the upgrade patch!

I've been trying most of my Switch 1 games to see what plays better, a few niggles with the odd game but honestly even just the general performance, loading, saving, processing, etc is night and day and makes such a big difference on those games even if there aren't other improvements at this point.
In some respects its been a bit like a Steam Deck, I can now go back and re-visit some Switch 1 stuff I bought on the eShop when it was cheap but finally they mostly run a lot quicker!
The dbrand case issues aren't looking too promising. I'm guessing they are going to have to revise the design.

Hoping mine will turn up Monday; I can see from that video posted earlier why there might be an issue but there seem to plenty of reviews on YT and elsewhere with people not having the issue; suspect the tolerances are very tight though; fingers crossed mine will be fine
