*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

You're lucky. Mines not even shipped yet. Did you get with the screen protector or without? I saw on reddit they were surprised by demand for those.

I suppose it depends on what information they had before launch. By my understanding, the Switch 2 has a glass fronted panel, but then there's a plastic anti-shatter film on top of it, and THAT is easy to scratch.
Quite possible they didn't know that part; and as it had a glass panel, they figured people would want them, but not the sheer volume of people who'd want them now we know what's what with the screen.

Throw on top the huge sales numbers Nintendo are getting...

To those getting the Killswitch grips, be aware there are reports on Reddit that the design is flawed and can cause the joycons to detach spontaneously from the tablet.

After using it for a while, I still like the Switch 2 Pro Controller, however I do have some issues with it and they all centre around the same underlying complaint - that it's too small, like the joycons, the pro controller feels like it's designed for people with small hands.

And I'm not a particularly tall or big human, so I can only imagine how uncomfortable using a switch 2 is for large or tall people. But I can for me being of average size, I find the controller a bit too small

Because of the small controller I find my fingers missing buttons or mis pressing. Additionally the I don't like the rear buttons, because they don't stick out it's also easy to miss press them and I have to put my hands in a weird position because in my natural position the tips of my fingers go right past the rear buttons and I can't press them

Even the joy on mouse control is not comfortable at all, so many people trying to use it complain of RSI and cramps

Just read this on the day dbrand confirmed shipping. Wonderful.

Did read it was about holding the switch with one hand holding one joycon kind of thing though, will have to wait and see I suppose

How does it spontaneously explode detach? Thought the magic is strong enough to the point you need to press the release button?

To me it looks like the covers are adding just a tiny bit of additional depth (more obvious in the photos linked) on the connecting surface and in some cases that's perhaps enough to reduce the strength of the magnetic action enough to allow the separation.

Is this more to do with the added weight now the device becomes too heavy for it to be held up by the magnets if you hold it with 1 joycon?

edit - perhaps it's also a lever effect of cover.

That probably doesn't help matters, I suspect it's a combination of multiple factors - the unit is heavier with the casing on, there's a slight separation of the joycon from the unit due to the thickness of the edge of the grip, varying build quality on the dbrand units perhaps making that more prominent on some units, varying strength of magnets from unit to unit etc. all meaning it'll end up affecting some more than others and perhaps some not affected at all.

Interesting, I'm 6'1", have larger than average hands and find the Pro 2 very comfortable... not so much the Joycons though. It would be nice if the D-Pad on the Pro 2 was just a millimetre or two larger though, especially given how sensitive the diagonals on it are, but I've gotten used to it.

I've only tried the Joycon mouse for 1 Fortnite match, prefered it to normal controls aiming wise but pressing the buttons did feel a little awkward so not sure if I'd stick with it over longer periods.

Same. The Switch 2 Pro controller feels slightly smaller and lighter than the original Pro controller, but feels very comfortable to me - certainly don't get cramps using it for an extended period.

I can't seem to find any size comparisons vs other controllers so... how does the NS2 Pro controller compare vs Xbox and Playstation controllers?

The Dualsense controller feels bulkier, and is much heavier due to the advanced haptics. In contrast, the Switch 2 Pro controller feels very similar to the Xbox Series controller ... just slightly smaller and lighter. Both have asymmetiric joysticks ( vs the symmetrical layout on Dualsense ).
