Summarising, people are living longer and the human body will start to fail giving rise to cancers etc. that in the past would not have occurred due to lesser life expectancy. Medical improvements go some way to counteract this and maybe one day there will be a vaccine for all these ailments.
Palliative and social care will not keep up as it is plainly too expensive currently and so we have a series of gaps that people are now being enabled to deal with on a personal level.
Half a million people die in the UK each year on average from all causes. The uptake on this scheme is just a rounding error.

I'm not anti-vaxx, I just insist childhood vaccines be administered very slowly over a massive period of time spanning years. No more 'the judge said the first to get your kid 100% vaccinated gets custody', so Mum gets them all at once, and then she suddenly doesn't want custody as her happy normal 5 year old went non-verbal and autistic overnight.
On the other hand, I'm 100% anti-COVID vax, but +Ivermectin
