I got to this game late, after the Phatom Liberty update and earlier problems and thought the game was awesome.

Playing it on PC now and I’m really enjoying it. Been a long time since I enjoyed a game this much.
Yes, I pre-ordered a while back using a mix of vouchers and reward points. Looking forward to it.

The Game Collection has it for £65, but with £10 extra reward points. So an effective price of £53~.
Yeah, I have. Really looking forward to it, I know it's not for everyone but I really did enjoy just getting lost in the world whilst playing DS1. From the sounds of it, DS2 is an improvement in every way.
Aye, I was utterly disinterested when it first released. I even ended up watching the entire story online as I do (mostly) enjoy Kojima's brain ejaculations. Ended up getting the directors cut on PS5 on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed the walking simulator experience. Although the so-called challenge of balancing cargo and rambling over dodgy terrain was somewhat nullified by simply holding down both trigger buttons endlessly.
I'll get involved when I see it for less than 55 kingheads.
Sony has been sued in Netherlands for excess prices on PSN digital games.
The class action suit alleges that Sony makes double the margin on digital game sales vs physical and yet zero of the savings is passed to consumers. When consumers had choice it was ok, but because of digital only consoles the law suit says Sony is slowly pushing gamers into digital machines and then making double the profit from selling games on digital machines.
If the judge agrees Sony is making excess profit on digital sales then they either need to lower prices or more likely, Sony will be forced to open up PSN by allowing allow 3rd party retailers to sell digital games.

Very interesting and about damn time. It continues to boggle my mind how physical copies are cheaper considering the overheads that retail stores also have to soak up. Yeah, 30% is the same across the PlayStation Store, Steam and the Xbox store. Only Epic Games are different with 12%.
Fair enough, You're both right. Developers do indeed set the PS store price and the rate seems "industry" standard (excluding Epic). Still makes little sense, how physical copies, which cost more to manufacture, distribute and retail, are offered for less than the digital store (which is for a license only) on release day.
Completely agree with this part. It seems a little bonkers to me that I can walk into Argos and pick up a copy of a brand new game for cheaper than it would be on the PS Store.
I understand the game studio/developer/publisher etc. wanting to offset some of that storefront % cost but you would think that logically it should be cheaper over digital.
I typically find end up buying PS Store 'Credit' from an online retailer (i.e. 50 quid of PS Store 'cash' costs me 42.99) so it ends up being largely the same price as physical - but I don't think that should be the way to go about it.
Well quite. The entire PS Store credit thing just seems to show a method is there for a reduced price but it seems an entirely convoluted process for customers to get a better deal. Just reduce the prices or better yet, offer a less margined price for PSN subscribers while protecting the developer (Sony takes 15/20% instead of the usual 30% for non-PSN subscribers).
