OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

Same here, happy launch MSRP 9070XT owner, though I've not really being putting it through it's paces on newer games.

I've recently seen prices start to sensibly come down on some of these though, like the Sapphire Pulse 9070 non-XT here on OCUK recently for ~£560ish. Not great, but not that much more than what it launched at either, so not a bad buy.

Will there be more stock of these @Gibbo, I imagine these have been selling well?

I'm guessing the £ vs $ improving is helping get these listed for such decent prices. Heck, I wouldn't be suprised if there were surprise promotional offers and such like there has been before. There is still hope yet my friends, hang in there!

@Gibbo, any chance we will see Sapphire Pulse or Powercolor Reaper at £620 or even at the price they were sold at launch day in the upcoming future? It seems that OC card prices are coming down nicely, so I wonder how these models, potentially others will be affected.

You can get the XFX Swift for £619. Similar card to the Pulse and Reaper.

We are trying to do something on the Pulse.
I’ve secured 500 units but we still cannot hit MSRP.

I’m having a word with the finance director in regards to maybe making an MSRP deal which OcUK funds themselves and if I get approval we will do the Pulse at £569 but it needs sign off as it means we basically make no money and potential loss but with a record breaking year so far we have some funds built up in our marketing pot as I feel hitting MSRP would be great marketing for OcUK.

I'm basically ready to buy a new 9070/XT in the next week or so, this will definitely make me hit that buy button straight away! Sapphire are all still 3 year warranty right, even with the Pulse?

Yes 3yr but it’s not signed off yet but with such a good year so far I feel it will be signed off and we will be able to do 300-400 at the original MSRP price.

If I get sign off I’ll give a heads up on forums aiming for around 8th July fingers crossed!

Can't really be that hard to hit MSRP given I can buy 1 offs of the Gigabyte 9070 XT Gaming OC at £487+VAT (£584 inc.), and I am sure if I were buying 500 I could easily get them with a chunky discount, and that is UK landed stock. I mean I get the whole marketing thing, but no one is making a loss here.

I take your point but msrp is based on the retailer being able to add a markup otherwise its not worth it

I see cards appearing back at MSRP and under actually in stock, seems that predicting that after a few months had passed and everyone's calmed down means you get the value back. ;)

Not sure what's going on with the Sapphire 9070XTs as they are all more expensive now than before. Pulse @ £668.99 when I'm sure it went down to £619 same as the current XFX cards.

Seen the XFX Quicksilver 9070xt in white for £561 in stock, prices are definitely coming down

Yeah, there is loads of stock in the channel with disti's and the prices are low as the USD is at 1.37 to £1.

I wouldn't even be jumping in at MSRP as there will be deals, left, right, and centre, expect a games bundle pretty soon too IMO.

I was tempted by one of these at those prices, only thing putting me off is that they are quite loud comparatively to most other 9070 XT’s.

Prices coming down is a good sign, about time too. Hope to see a games bundle being added in August.

After a Pulse or Red Devil, not paying the current prices, will buy the first one of those two that hits under 600.
Summer now so sales will be slower.
