It's too hot :(

23'c with a fells like 26'c.

Anyway, lets talk fans. We have a fan on all year in the bedroom, even through winter we like the breeze feeling.

We have just gone and bought a Shark Flexbreeze which we find very good, plus the ability to use it as a portable device and take it into garden etc is great. We are now thinking of another fan to help cool/move air upstairs.

Its been left with me to decide what we purchase, so looking about it seems the Meaco Sefte is highly praised. Anyone have both the Shark and Meaco ? Or even just the Meaco, if so how do you find it ?.

We are going eventually put Aircon in our bedroom when it's time to redecorating that room.

It's horrendous feeling you need a wash every few hours in this heat and uncomfortable doing basic tasks think I will take a break from decorating lol , hopefully won't last much longer

but the commute will be horrid ;)

I'll take the circle/district line as they have more spacious Air conditioned tube. I remember the days of packed northern line on the bank branch. Ooof. Hot AF.

On the plus side, a lot of women seem to be walking about the stations in bikinis last night. Probably not commuters as such but hey. One must take in the view.

I took the circle line yesterday. The aircon on the train was impressive. Packed train but it was blowing that cold it was almost getting to the point that I needed to put a jumper on haha.

Yes I do enjoy london and lack of clothing (by women - mostly, some not so much) in the summer.

Sitting in the car with the aircon blasting directly at my armpits is one of lifes small pleasures I have discovered.

I put the washing out this morning on the washing line and it was already getting uncomfortable at about 8am!

Watering the garden twice a day now. It’s just about staying green

Once a day here, but could probably do with twice a day. In most recent hot spells every few days have been fine, but this is something else. Just about managing to keep the garden green. I’m even having to water the hedges at this point. Any rain we do have does absolutely nothing. Going to be some decent water shortages unless we have a wet autumn/winter.

Braving the gym, the portable unit is just about managing to bring it down to 26C or so.

A green lawn is truly a beautiful thing IMO. Its quite ridiculous that in a country as wet as the UK we pay so much for water and end up with hosepipe bans in the summer.
If it doesn't rain there isn't much they can do no matter how much you pay.
