No impact on her conviction but absolutely are part of the thread. The management refused to listen to the concerns raised and actively hampered attempts to stop Letsby, allowing her to continue to harm infants.

Good, its about time. They wilfully ignored evidence from whistleblowers and even threatened them with losing their job, etc. Negligence on a massive scale they must have thought they got away with it get shuffled off to different depts with nothing more to add, nope its time you faced up to your decisions.

From the EYE it would appear they hid the fact that the hospital was not fit to be treating that level of premature babies(as happened when the case came to light-they were downgraded)
It appears there was bacteria in drains withing the unit which was known about but never sorted.
A load of very experienced nurses got the boot and relativeley younger nurses got put in charge of things they should not have been doing. The unit was regularly understaffed.
The unit was too small for the type of procedures they were doing.
As usual, like the Post Office the first priority for senior management was to deny, deflect and cover up.
I would like to see the senior management get held to account for a change.
 
I wonder how many of her managers tendered their resignations after her conviction? Would I be wildly wrong if I said none? They were paid - in part - to be responsible and part of responsibility is taking responsibility for t he failures of your staff.

Ian Harvey continued to gaslight the doctors thay raised concern even after Letsby's conviction.

This is the first sign of some actual consequences for their actions, which is almost unheard of in the NHS. Normally managers just get shuffled on to a higher paid post somewhere else when incompetent or dangerous.

NHS management are completely unregulated so theres no body with oversight.

No. I have read loads of stuff from Private Eye and their Doctor(MD) who is still working in the NHS. PE has an excellent record when investigating, usually printing about cases for years before the MSM and others catch up. The PO case for example. A group of international medics recently tore the prosecution case apart. I don't think they are GBeebies. Take a read
