Samsung Galaxy S24 Family Thread

Thanks, All switched off. Lets see!
Did that a week ago myself but haven't noticed any difference tbh, battery still poor compared to before the update.

As much as I love this phone, I secretly can't wait for Jan/Feb to get a new phone with a better battery and charging speed.

I heard they fixed the battery issue, but im not sure when that update is due

I've just downloaded the latest one, which I think was within the last 2 days

Incidentally, battery seems a lot better today, so may have been fixed
Mines still crap. Just ordered 7 S25's for some new drivers... Might pinch one of those... But I hate new phone day... Takes days to get set back up.... Dont hate it enough to switch to Apple but as I age its probably getting closer....

That last update that screwed up the top bar / notifications does my head in. I dunno why they changed it. If I want to set my WiFi etc I need to catch the top right of screen. It's clunky af

You don't need to catch the top right of the screen, just swipe down anywhere then swipe left. I was annoyed at the change as well, but after using it for a while, the new way is SO much better and easier.

Ah yeah I see now. Guess you just become so used to certain things that changes are really jarring.

Getting my first Samsung phone tomorrow, S24 FE, Got it at a steal of a price and was wondering about the operating system. Is it possible to put a more bare bones OS on or is it advised to stick with stock ?

Hi guys,

Anyone had any experience of using 2x esims on an S24, simultaneously? I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks and have a holiday data sim ready to load that I want to use over my UK Vody esim.

Any special settings I should be aware of? - roaming on my UK sim is already switched off.

Thanks.

I know I'm a bit late but I'll build on TNA's response. Stick to stock OS as in don't feel the need to change to AOSP or anything like that, but absolutely customise how you use it. One thing I can't stand is when someone takes the Samsung experience at face value then decides that android isn't for them. If you want a different look/feel/automation then there's almost certainly an option for it.

I think Samsung's 'apple but not' everything is the worst part about any stock Samsung phone.
