they making a gate anime base off the spin off set years after the original gate and center on the navel side of the japan self defense force, so it not a season 2 (or season 3) of gate.

Erm... Takopi's original sin.

******* hell those first 2 episodes. This is a brilliantly done anime and i totally understanding why people are raving about it but my god is it a horribly disturbing and traumatic watch.
When the episodes open with real suicide and help line numbers and warnings for the first 20-30 secs you know you are in for a rough ride.

I think my response every 5 mins watching this so far was "******* hell". Brilliantly done anime that isn't shying away from the topic in it and doesnt spare the details.
Such as a 9 year old girl hanging from the rafters by a "happy ribbon"

If you arent in a good frame of mind or have trauma related to the topic of this anime, dont watch this.

Wish the original was as good as that trailer. Looked amazing with updated modern art and graphics. Do you think they will make a new series? Gundam wing for me was disappointing because of the story more than anything else.

Same. I know I've watch/watch more older stuff due to backlog, and this was one of my first...but damn. I'm feeling a bit old lol

@Kyo That trailer does seem to imply they're considering making something new, as that definately look like some glimpses of 'future' timeline content, older Heero etc.
Why bother with the even small amount of new content, if they're not considering doing anything with it?

Seems like there is some new Gundam stuff coming too, if I'm reading it correctly, from some of the OG key staff.

I was quite surprised when I first watched aged 20 - it was much more serious and political than I was expecting. After watching it twice through and the movie it made a lot more sense and wasn’t just giant robots fighting.

I’ve watched a few other Gundam series but couldn’t really get into them the same way.

I’d love to see the whole series redone with modern animation, but not CGI.


Also a big fan of the Guyver and Legend of the 4 Kings.
