Numberplate with no Screws

or when someone nicks it and then nicks fuel (although i had mine screwed on they took my rear plate off years ago and nicked fuel)
If someone wanted your plates they'll have them even when they're screwed in.

Or even better, they will buy "show plates" from ebay and have them delivered to them with no questions asked.

I have always used plate holders/surround that are screwed flush onto the car then put your plates in with a bit of double sided tape for keeping them secure. Never had an issue.

Of course some cars cant have them due to the shape of the bumper recess etc.

Always use velcro on my plates, easy to remove for cleaning and likewise if selling car easy to swap any personal reg back to the normal one etc :)

Bucking the trend, I used whatever Halfords sells, double sided foam type stuff, I did heat things up a bit with my hot air station. I did not have the time to wait for delivery as it was a day I had time to fit the plate.
It has managed 1 winter season thus far.

VHB tape is the daddy - use it for number plates and phone holders and leaves no residue
(when I levered off the windscreen mount in previous car did wonder if it could de-laminate the screen)

Imagine calling out for a windscreen repair, and they ask how big the stone was that hit it, and you have to explain it was merely tape sticking a phone holder instead :P
