Project Hail Mary - 2026 Movie

Just been to the cinema and the trailer is a shocking one due to spoilers, starts out decently enough and could off stopped before the spoiler.

I have listened to the audiobook so I was ok.

Sorry, can someone explain what relation this has to The Martin please? I've also never heard of this or a trilogy? Do they just exist in the same universe or it is simply written by the same guy?

Yeah this trailer is pretty bad for revealing that huge stuff.
The Beauty of the book was it starts with literally nothing and it's our boy trying to survive, do the mission, and his relationship with the spoiler.

I think Ryan gosling is gonna be sarcastic, patronising and cheeky enough to be the main character as I imagined him.

One of the other big characters I visualised as

Hopefully she lives upto it :p

Cheers!
What was the name of the other of the 3? I might check that out whilst waiting for this one?

I don't know of a trilogy but I guess

Artemis
The Martian
Project hail Mary

Are his famous ones ? Sorry dunno
Thanks, so it's Artemis I need to look into, cheers.
EDIT: The film is either not made or not out, damn. I was hoping there was a film I could watch before this one :p as I've seen and loved The Martian.

I actually cried watching these trailers lol.

I love rocky. He doesn't seem to have the harmonic voice ? Or does he?

But jeez wtf these are ridiculous spoilers beyond redemption.

Listening to the audiobook and meeting for the first time was so compelling, never thought you could love a insecty like rock monster so much.

I honestly wish I could go into the film blind to redo it

They could have had a decent trailer with just the Earth stuff and little bit of spaceship alarms. Leave the massive twist out, but trailers now always go too long and show way too much.

I listened to the audiobook earlier this year and without doubt it was the best story I've heard/read/watched in I don't know how many years. Found it utterly fantastic, I have no idea how a 2-3 hour film will convey the details of a 16 hour audiobook but so far both trailers have been spot on. Really looking forward to it.

Amazing number of spoilers in the trailers. The new one pretty much explains everything when you consider the book starts with Grace waking up on a spaceship alone, with no idea who he his, why he's there, or what he's supposed to do. The book is clever in that it has flashbacks as his memory comes back which explain how he got to be where he is and what the whole point of the mission is. There's not just big reveals and twists as the story progresses, there are reveals and twists as you find out Grace's past and how he got to where he is now.

The trailer is so spoilery that it ruins a lot of that. If you haven't read the book and want to see the film, you're better off not watching the trailers.
