Nah, he's not on Flavio's level. He's never told a second driver to crash so that his favourite will win.

Yeah we can hate on him for his personal life, but cant deny his abilities and what he's achieved. Hates going to hate because thats all they good for.

I reckon Max has signed to leave which has triggered this, this might even annoy Max as well his next press conference or media day is going to be awful again.

Doesn’t he effectively own part of the team and he’ll be at least partly organising it.

For what it’s worth I think max has already signed for Merc.

I think people forget just how much Horner messed up with driver lineups from pretty much the get go, fiasco with Renault engines in the turbo era plus all his seedy back story.

The one thing RB got right was investing in the youth and with the junior team that brought us Max and Seb but I don't think Horner had anything to do with that.

Didn't expect to read that headline on bbc a few minutes ago, so long after Newey leaving and his affair scandal.

What happens next to shock us, Max drives rest of season for the Racing Bulls team, to get away from that super twitchy car? :cry:

Unless he has signed for another team a grave error of judgement has taken place and f1 will be in a worse place. I don't doubt all the haters will come out with their fake statements.

Fake statements? Like these (from a previous thread!) ?

The TP is a (love) cheat, who left his wife with a 6 month old baby to shack up with a more famous lady.
The TP pressured the race director for a mis-use of the rules in a title championship deciding race to ensure they won, which stopped a record-breaking championship win for globally a well liked driver.
Their "Motorsports Advisor" has had some very questionable opinions on race, and faced little to no censure from the team for public comments made.
The parent of their lead driver is a convicted violent criminal, and is hosted by the team like an old friend.
The team breached the budget cap in a winning year, and claimed the actions taken against them (which were relatively minor) as "Draconian", whilst steadfastly refusing to even come close to apologising.
Their lead driver assaulting another driver for an on-track incident in the garages after the race - TP claimed the other driver was "lucky to get away with a push"
Their treatment of "second drivers" in the team is seen as very ruthless, and even dishonest, for example in the case of Webber signing an extension under the agreement he would have equal terms, which was clearly not the case.
The Team have backed the often overly aggressive driving style of their lead driver regardless of the implications to the sport.

I don't think the legal process is done. Given that the RB statement brutally doesn't even mention, acknowledge or thank Horner something else coming out now would fit him being fired so unceremoniously. Verstappen going to Mercedes, a condition of him staying, or Horner in negotiations with another team doesn't quite fit right with how quickly this has been actioned. But who knows.

He's gone from Red Bull, might be a touch premature to assume he's gone from F1 entirely - when people like Flavio can find a home in F1, any personal baggage Horner might have will be inconsequential to some other teams hoping he might bring them even a fraction of the success he delivered at Red Bull.
 
As some have mentioned, he's a marmite of a character but you can't argue with him as Team Principal and what he has achieved with Red Bull over the years.
Likewise that it seems a bit odd to drop him mid-season rather than do a proper transition unless another factor was at play, like Max moving etc.

Definitely and Flavio is a prime example of teams begrudgingly/happily letting things slide for a whiff of success.

All of those points can be broken down and countered. The problem is people without the full information making casting judgements.
