Christian Horner sacked!

I think todays a good day to go for a walk around Caldecotte Lake and eavesdrop the conversations of the Red Bull staff who tend to gather around there at lunchtimes.

Honestly, what are on about...
But to reply with such a thing implies I have either missed it or dont believe thats a part of it?
So what were you actually trying to get at?

I was directly responding to YOUR message saying:

half of Toto's championship comes from a rule/engine change.
I was refuting the idea that navigating such changes was not a key part of being a great TP... Nothing more, nothing less.

Now, let's see what semantic/flippant comment you can reply with that ignores this totally :D

Well that will spice things up a bit as Horner had been there forever. There's no doubting his tenure at Red Bull has been one of the very best. I can't think of any other team principal that has achieved what he has especially when you consider where Red Bull started from.

I imagine he won't be short of offers from other teams if he wishes to continue in F1.

I rate Horner above Toto. Red bull have won things in the last three technical eras, Merc won everything in one specific era that was comically stacked in their favour from the start… and even then Red Bull managed to pull that advantage back before the end of the era.

Meanwhile we are in the final season of these current regulations and Merc still haven’t got remotely close to having a car capable of competing for wins regularly, let alone championships.

Also don’t recall Red Bull ever making as glaringly bad design decisions as Merc did at the start of this current era

Last time I eaves dropped on them they were talking about vw coming in as an engine supplier/partner :D I suspect the minions know about as much as we do

Nice day for a walk though!

Yeah and I didnt say it wasnt a key part of being a TP, unsure why you are making a mountain out of this tbh. So is the issue my comment about Toto?

All I was trying to say was that I believe Horner to be a better boss overall when you compare against Toto. Horner has seen that outfit from being the back markers, to mid markers, to finally getting a chance to win, dominant, go back to being mid markers, go back to dominance again, to drop back again.
The guy has been through it all.

Happy to break down every single one for you later if you want?

You can do whatever you like! I will happily read it and see if you can change my mind :)

I am always open to listening to both sides of the "argument" to not do so means you are poorly informed.

So please do, educate my, and show me where I am wrong :)

Yeah he messed up, totally
  • Eight Drivers' Championship titles
  • Six Constructors' Championship titles
  • 124 wins
  • 107 pole positions
  • 287 podium finishes

They won all that in spite of him not because of him. They had two world class drivers that came through the RB youth setup which had nothing to do with him and Adrian Newey designing the cars which again had nothing to do with him.

He was always a guy who was in the right place at the right time.
