*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

How does the Switch 2 perform on a TV with VRR? I play Monster Hunter Rise on my Switch 1 and the frame rates stutters are annoying me more as I progress in the game and the worlds get bigger

VRR currently does not work on TV just on the Switch screen. The dock supports VRR but Nintendo have not allowed it in docked mode for whatever reason.

True, but I found it pretty tough on master mode. That keeps it interesting for a lot longer.

Found that tedious tbh due to having to faff around even more with weapons breaking. That particular part isn't challenging outside of the added tedium.

I never minded the weapons breaking, made me utilise weapons I wouldn't have otherwise, and replacements are pretty plentiful.

Plus once you have a few korok seeds and expanded your storage you should always have a fair few spares to hand.

If you complete Trial of the Sword and upgrade the master sword you can pretty much ignore every other weapon. Has been a while but I think it still breaks but has much higher durability and only takes 5 to 10 mins to recharge.

I went for a minimal playthrough of TotK when I first played, so only 2 shrines (the minimum) after the starting area. This kept things decently challenging throughout, with limited health/stamina to work with. The final boss took me a good few attempts and was tense, really enjoyed taking that approach.

TBF I don't play Zelda for the challenge, plenty of other games that are better for that :) Weapon durability basically creates the same effect as 'bullet sponge' enemies except you're breaking weapons instead.

I’m playing totk now and the weapons always breaking is so damn annoying. Even metal weapons break within a few hits……

Yep I think a compromise could have been had, for example, something silly like a wooden broom/pitchfork etc yes I'd expect that to break, but not a metal Zora spear after like 5 pokes. I get it from a design angle as they provide weapons everywhere to compensate for this, but maybe a reduction in damage would have been better with the opportunity to repair. I don't know, I feel any it would be annoying most ways tbh, or just have the option to turn things off you don't like as an accessibility option, though I get that wouldn't happen because N want you to play the game their way.

If anyone has a few minutes spare - next time you're on the store, can you download the demo of Unavowed and see if you can run it without an error popping up? Fancied trying this but it will not launch.

Bah, saw the 512G express card on Amazon at lunch for £87 and came home to find its gone up to £94....it's a pre-order but I am not in a hurry....
