Mirra Andreeva is pretty good isn't she. Potential superstar in the making.

Already something of a star tennis-wise with her back to back WTA1000 title wins this year where she's beaten Iga (twice), Sabalenka, and Rybakina.

I'm not sure how much a Wimbledon win would help her given her Nationality. It didn't propel Rybakina up the list of high earners from endorsements and sponsorships etc.. as much as it has for some.

Well without wanting to get too political in a tennis thread, but yeah, that's Putin basically ruining it for the few well known world class Russian tennis players that want nothing to do with his selfish actions. These Russian stars are all multi millionaires now from their career earnings so at least they've been properly rewarded for their talents monetarily, but yeah, could be much more if they weren't Russian.

I meant more as a top player, like go on to win multiple majors.

Yes being Russian doesn't help with off court stuff but she does seem popular with the public and seems a character.

Disappointing from Norrie TBH. No-one expected him to win, but I thought it was a pretty tame loss, almost capitulation in the end. Shame.

Just shows how good Alcaraz is I guess. Sinner, maybe Dojokovic, can beat him, on a good day. Anyone else is gonna struggle.
