Road Cycling

Just Amazon being Amazon! Lets be honest they're probably not even going to investigate - although we had that with one courier, they sent the driver around the next day to find out which house they'd wrongly delivered to and parcel was still on the wrong houses doorstep. We know most of our neighbours (or what their doors look like!). To be fair we give Amazon a lot of slack around ours as we use them a lot and the numbering on our estate is nonsense (different parts built at different times). They seem better than others for making sure they get the right house. Anyone noticed most couriers don't even knock anymore - they just deposit parcel and then leave. Number of times I've found something delivered behind our plant pot when coming home from work and the other half has been in the house all day

Blasphemy! Cycling requires specific shoes for different situations! That is why I have 5-6 pairs of them! ;)

To be fair the 3-4 times I've ridden non-clipless shoes the last 10+ years it's been horrible. I still have scars. Can't consider relearning being unclipped at my advanced years!

For me my 'commuting' shoes are ones I'll ride all spring/autumn/winter under overshoes, so they'll do some longer riding too. I've always tended to have 1 'best' set of shoes, then a couple around the garage for turbo use and another couple of pairs for work/winter/etc.

I'm leaning towards the black. In an ideal world I'd get the KR0 in grey but they're too rich for my blood.

The white ones never 'arrived' - just deciding what I do

Sticking with the black ones. White would clash with too much.

Also absurdly big lol. They’re a 10.5 but feel like I have a whole inch at the front of my toes

Haha I always said once we had the ability to charge a car at home I’d like to go electric and I need a bigger car really

What are you looking at? Our next car will be electric but man are cars in general absolutely crazy money these days.

Oi, take that talk elsewhere!

Although honestly i'm seriously tempted by the new MG's or some of the other chinese electric cars. The likes of BYD and Omoda too are getting really popular out here, and makes a lot of sense with the free solar charging.

Chinese cars! WTF!

My pal sent me some photos of his brand new Factor Ostro VAM this morning. Dura ace set up and $19,000. Strewth. I’m off out today to try and get myself a "just above entry level" gravel bike for around $2,500. Doesn't seem to be stock anywhere. I did try out the Specialzed Diverge Comp last week in a 58 but it felt a little big. All my other bikes have been 56.

AU has better prices for bikes from what i've seen.

which gravel you are thinking ?

i ride a heave alu frame from a Polish manufacturer - its a bloody tank...my roadie is 56, that gravel 54 and feels racier than roadie haha
tried my mates diverge in 56, and it felt really small and short...

I hate to admit it but I'm thinking of joining Elons-waggon. Currently have an S3 so thought about sticking with Audi but their electric cars seem absurdly expensive whilst not really offering much over the competition.

Though I'm not married to the idea of a Tesla (Y, most likely though I prefer the 3) as I quite the Hyundai Ioniq 5. I'm not exactly a 'car' person so whoever has the better deals come next year will likely be who I go for

Sorry, back to 2 wheels.

When we were looking for a new car a few years back we went to look at Audis and apart from the cost I was simply astonished at what they didn't come with as standard. Absolute robbery.

Convinced myself I want a 1 by, GRX or Apex group set. Alloy. Less than 3 grand.

I like the diverge comp but just can’t get them anywhere at the moment. I also like the Canyons but again, sold out.

Been to see this today, pretty much the only bike I’ve found in stock anywhere at the right size. It’s ok, ticks the boxes. Zero wow factor though.

1x apex xlpr/rival are such good groupsets. I love the simplicity and the simple up and down gears, no bs no messing around with front. Lighter, shifts well and takes a beating on gravel etc.

my next bike is either apex axs xlpr or nothing. I've only got experience with their AXS line up - so electronic, not cabled ones.
