Yep, I was looking at the 9800X3D earlier this year. Prices on OCUK and elsewhere were one big pi55 take - ~£520. Now, just six months later, you can find them for ~£400.
That's also about the same kind of timeline that the 4090 FE become more easily available. That released in Autumn 2022 and I wasn't able to get the FE until Spring 2023 with Diablo 4 being bundled in (which I still haven't played). We should all just wait 6 months+ in every time so the scalpers can just cry on their piles of GPUs being unsold.
