Fantastic Four (2025)

One of those guys who barely aged. I still remember him from the very early Home and Away days, and tbh he looked quite similar even in Nip/Tuck and Fantastic Four decades later!

Bit depressing, but cancer is gonna get 50% of us :(

So was about to pre book my tickets for opening night and for either Thrs or Friday my main odeon showings only have a hand full of tickets already sold at peak.

I'm looking forward to it; especially as a lot of the critics who have downplayed Superman, which I enjoyed, have downplayed this.

To be honest, given the incoming arrival of Mutants, with Galactus and Franklin here, there's potential for a great many things given what they could draw from the last 30 years of comics if they do it right... However, I feel like I've been saying this for the last couple of franchises, most of which have been cancelled or no longer relevent anymore, so there's unfortunately no guarantee they will swing this around. Just there's potential there at least. Fingers crossed they didn't mess it up.

Those reviews are hilarious TBH:

“#FantasticFour is a story about family above all else, where each member of the team is equally important. No one is underserved; the movie excels when fleshing out the various bonds between Pedro, Vanessa, Ebon, & Joseph. The retro ’60s aesthetic works on all fronts.” – Andrew J. Salazar (@AndrewJ626)

“#FantasticFour Is a masterpiece. the visual effects and the score are a HUGE stand out. Galactus Is huge In IMAX. It’s emotional and gives you hope. It beats you off and doesn’t stop. STAY Until the END CREDITS.” – Deo (@frickyuu)

“Fantastic Four friggin’ rocks! More than any Marvel movie before it, F4 feels like Jack Kirby’s imagination brought to life on the big screen. Between this and Superman, 2025 might go down as the year movies finally embrace the wonderful weirdness of comic books.” – Chris Killian (@chriskillian)

“Nothing will prepare you for #TheFantasticFour First Steps. Pedro Pascal is the perfect Reed, but the entire cast shines and does right by these characters. It’s funny, moving, gorgeous to look at, and non-stop FANTASTIC. This is @MarvelStudios at its brilliant best.” – Josh Wilding (@Josh_Wilding)

In my opinion, Infinity War will not be topped for a long time, if ever....

Also we are apparently gonna Embrace the wonderful weirdness of comic books after watching this! I think we did that years ago then got completely fed up with the sub quality garbage that came out after end game.....

Anyway, it does look decent and if the real world reviews are positive i'll give it a go.

7/10
It's ok. Actually liked all of them, even Pedro.
Better than the other fantastic 4 films. Lol
After seeing Superman a week ago I think this probably craps on it for production and style. That's gonna be a James Gunn personal taste thing.

It's fine. I'm sure comic book fans will **** on it somewhere.
